Katra, June 09: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today inaugurated the “CCTV Monitoring System with Integrated Command and Control Center” for Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine.
The Lieutenant Governor said, “State -of -the -art technology will enable security, real -time monitoring and mob management to protect the devotees and will ensure this hassle -free pilgrimage.”
The Lieutenant Governor noticed that the shining action from the system would enable accelerated response in emergency situations. Command and Control Infrastructure, including AI-Inumed Monitoring Ecological Mechanism, will provide comprehensive status awareness, adaptation of operations and quick and efficient coordination with emergency respondents.
Large-scale, technology-operated monitoring and mob management initiative will enhance security and safety, improving operational efficiency within congestion control measures and pilgrimage site.
Under the project, an Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC) has been set up in Katra and 7 sub-control centers with pilgrimage tracks for localized monitoring and coordination, which will ensure 24 × 7 monitoring of all weak and high-treated areas and emerges to make a 24 × 7 monitoring and clock-up, security violations, or medical emergence.
More than 700 cameras have been deployed in the Shrine region, including the integration of 170 new high-definition IP cameras and more than 500 existing cameras, including entry/exit points, assembly areas and all important and weak places including pilgrimage tracks.
The project also includes AI-based analytics and advanced technology mechanisms such as gesture recognition, automatic number plate recognition (ANPR), facial recognition, intraction detection system, crowd management tools.
Anshul Garg, CEO, SMVDSB made a detailed presentation on the technical characteristics of the Integrated Command and Control Center and its anticipated benefits in day-to-day temple functioning. He reported that the center is equipped to generate automatic alerts for congestion, rush blocks, landslides or emergency conditions, allowing Swift decisions and response.
The Lieutenant Governor also interacted with engineers and operating staff at the Center. He emphasized the need for regular training and easy cooperation of employees with security agencies and other stakeholders to maximize the usefulness of the Center.
In particular, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has recently provided advanced security equipment to security agencies deployed for travel management, including X-ray baggage scanner, door frame metal detector, hand-hand-hand-metal detectors, and vehicle search mirrors/scanners, to review strong safety measures in Shirramukhi’s prostates, to review last year.
Dr. Ashok Bhan, Member, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, Mr. Bhim Sen Tutti, IGP Jammu, Ms. Nidhi Malik, Deputy Commissioner Deputy Commissioner Rasi and other senior officers of the police, security agencies and Shrine Board were also present.
