Srinagar, August 05: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today handed over appointment letters to 158 of Kins (NOK) of Kashmiri citizens killed by Pakistan -backed terrorists.
Families of terrorist victims narrated their painful experiences. He highlighted injustice by Pakistan-posed terrorists and their families by his sympathy.
The Lieutenant Governor paid his heartfelt tribute to the citizens and saluted the courage and perseverance of the families suffering from terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
“Wounds that have been for decades are now recovering. Today’s historical event provided a sense of closure of families who have quietly faced trauma for years.
For more than three decades, Terror State Pakistan has been shedding innocent blood through its proxy terrorist organizations. Time did not eradicate the pain of loss. An invisible marks can be felt on their soul and silent eyes are witness to many incomplete dreams.
For justice and to start for a long time, it is over to terrorist victim families. They have emerged to reveal the role of Pakistani terrorists and terrorist ecosystems, working in J&K, ”said the Lieutenant Governor.
The Lieutenant Governor shared the tragic account of Abdul Majid Mir’s family, whose life was shattered on 29 June 2004. On that day, Abdul Majeed from Sheikhpura in Baramalla was abducted by terrorists and brutally murdered.
“Abdul Majid’s family lost his only breadwiner and received Rs 1 lakh as pre-Gratia payment under the security related expenditure (SRE) scheme. Despite the martyrdom of Abdul Majid Mir, his family struggled to live a life of dignity. Today, by providing a government job to his son, Mudasir Majid, the administration has fulfilled his long time.
After three decades of difficulty, justice was finally given to Suhail Majeed and his family. Today, Suhail, a resident of Anantnag, received an appointment letter for a government job. His father, Abdul Majeed Wani, was shot dead by Pakistan -backed militants on 30 August 1994. The family was finally given justice after 31 years.
On February 24, 2000, Spo Manzoor Ahmed, rather, was killed by Pakistan -backed terrorists, residents of Warpora, Baramulla. For 25 years, his family did not get any compensation. Today his son Khurshid Ahmed has received an appointment letter. The painful period for the family is finally over.
For Parvez Ahmed Dar, the path of justice was painful. On July 6, 1996, terrorists killed his father Ghulam Qadir Dar. On July 30, 2004, his brother, Ajj Ahmed Dar was also killed by terrorists. 29 years after his father’s death, Parvez’s bad dream is over, ”said the Lieutenant Governor.
He observed that zero in the lives of the families of terrorist victims could not be filled with financial assistance or jobs, but would be ensured that these families can live with dignity.
“We will make every effort for rehabilitation of terror victims. It is my promise for the tubes of terrorist victims that criminals of heinous crime will get exemplary punishment. We will also ensure strict possible punishment to those who sympathize terror.
I assure the family members of the citizens martyrs that I will not rest until every family who falls victim to the atrocities of the terrorists does not get justice. I want to tell the loved ones of the martyrs that your father or your mother’s dreams will now be fulfilled, ”said the Lieutenant Governor.
On this occasion, the Lieutenant Governor also spoke on the disintegration of Article 370 on the transformational journey of the new Jammu and Kashmir Post.
The Lieutenant Governor noticed that, due to Article 370, terrorism increased and the terrorist ecosystem was embraced. He said, on 5 August 2019, the disintegration of the terrorist ecosystem began.
“On 5 August 2019, a new Jammu and Kashmir was born. A new Jammu and Kashmir, which dreamed of a golden future in its eyes. A new Jammu and Kashmir, which considered the same and discrimination of all its citizens that were prevalent for seven decades.
People ask me what New Jammu and Kashmir is. I want to tell them that the new Jammu and Kashmir is the one where the terrorists are not given jobs to the real martyrs of this UT. The new Jammu and Kashmir is the one where tears are not shed on the death of terrorists, but the tears of common Kashmiris go away.
The new Jammu and Kashmir is the one where the terrorist elements sitting in the government system are being cleaned one by one and the wounds of decades-old terrorist victim families are being healed.
The new Jammu and Kashmir is where the common Kashmiris are being embraced and not separatists. New Jammu and Kashmir is the one where children have pens in their hands and do not have stones, ”said the Lieutenant Governor.
The Lieutenant Governor called for every part of the society to rise against terrorism.
“Under the leadership of Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India has prepared a new redline against terrorism and will be punished equally to terrorists and their sponsors. India has made it clear that if there is a terror state policy, it will be available with a visual and tremendous response.
Peace is a condition for progress. There is no place for terrorism in a civilized society. Many generations of Jammu and Kashmir have suffered the brunt of terrorism surrounded by the neighboring country. Every person has to take a vow that they will not allow it to be again, ”said the Lieutenant Governor.
The Lieutenant Governor also appreciated the administrative and police officers, who were fully sensitivity and honest to address the issues and complaints of the terrorist victim families.

It confirms the commitment of the Government of India and the Jammu and Kashmir administration to give justice to the victims of terrorism.
