LG Sinha chairs high-level security review meeting for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today presided over a high level meeting with senior officials to review the security system for the upcoming Shri Amarnathji Yatra.

The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Mr. Atal Dolu; Shri Nalin Prabhat, DGP J&K; Lieutenant General Prashant Srivastava, GOC 15 Corps; Mr. SJM Gilni, Special Director General (Coordination), PhQ; Mr. Pankaj Thakur, Joint Director IB; Mr. Nitish Kumar, ADGP CID J&K; Mr. Rajesh Kumar, ADG CRPF; Dr. Of Mandeep. Bhandari, CEO Subs and Principal Secretary to Lieutenant Governor; Mr. Ramesh Kumar, Divisional Commissioner Jammu; Shri Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir; Mr. VK Burdi, IGP Kashmir; Shri Bhim Sen Tutti, IGP Jammu; Senior officers of police, army, CAPF and intelligence agencies.

The Lieutenant Governor made extensive reviews of security mechanisms and measures deployed by security agencies to ensure the safety of pilgrims.

He directed the civil administration, Shri Amarnath ji Shrine Board, Jammu -Kashmir Police, Army, Security forces and all other important stakeholders to ensure a peaceful and successful holy pilgrimage to ensure uninterrupted coordination.

The Lieutenant Governor reviewed the work of security grid and various important steps being taken by the Army, CAPFS and Jammu and Kashmir Police to ensure silly security for the journey.

The Lieutenant Governor also reviewed the contingent plan, deployment of police and security personnel, preparations for line departments and reaction mechanisms and emphasized better coordination among all stakeholders involved in travel management.

Dr. Of Mandeep. Bhandari, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Amarnath ji Shrine Board and Principal Secretary of Lieutenant Governor gave observation of traveling and major measures taken to further increase the facilities and services for the yatra and to increase the smooth conduct of the journey.
