Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Monday stressed that Republic Day should be celebrated as a united India and not a homogeneous India and said it should remain as a country where cultures enrich each other, and languages co-exist with pride.

Taking an indirect aim at the BJP government at the Centre, Stalin said, “Let us celebrate united India.” There is no uniform India.” In his message, the Chief Minister said that there are many voices in India and many identities have shaped the country.

“India moves forward when every citizen can live with dignity, confidence and freedom,” he said in a post on social media platform ‘X’.

He said, “We must remain a country where cultures enrich each other, languages co-exist with pride and confidence, this is a personal truth. Our strength has never been equality. It has always been our diversity. When diversity is preserved, connectedness feels natural. And the future remains open to all equally. Happy Republic Day, India is plural and proud.”

The CM further said, “Let us win together (Velvom Ondraga).” In Tamil Nadu’s journey to prosperity, we will leave no one behind.”
