NBC pulls upcoming episode Law & Order: SVU back Guest star Timothy Busfield has been charged with child sexual abuse.
An arrest warrant was issued Friday for Bousfield, 68, who faces two counts of criminal sexual contact with a minor and one count of open child abuse.
The actor is best known for his acting Danny Concannon at west wing and has also appeared in films including dream land and revenge of the nerds.
this Law & Order: SVU The episode is titled “Corrosive” and is scheduled to air this week, January 15th. Busfield will play a respected judge whose life is threatened after an anonymous video is posted on the SVU tip line.
Each episode of the show has a “Special Victims Unit” theme, beginning with the line: “In the criminal justice system, sex-based crimes are considered particularly heinous. A warrant for Bousfield’s arrest was issued in Albuquerque, New Mexico, local television Cote According to court records, one child told law enforcement that Bousfield allegedly touched them inappropriately when they were 7 years old.
Busfield is reportedly directing the Fox crime series cleaning lady Beginning in November 2022, these acts were alleged to have occurred approximately five or six times.
Albuquerque police began investigating Bousfield in November 2024 after staff at the University of New Mexico Hospital told police it appeared children were being cared for on the set of the television show, court documents show.

Two children at the hospital did not accuse Bousfield of sexual contact, but did say “Uncle Tim” would tickle their stomachs and legs and that they didn’t mind the itch, according to the records.
Busfield was born in June 1957 in Lansing, Michigan. He has worked extensively in the theater industry as an actor and director, with Broadway credits including some good men and Brighton Beach Memoirs.
He was married three times. He had a son from his first marriage to actor-director Radha Delamarter. After divorcing in 1986, he married fashion designer Jennifer Merwin in 1988, with whom he had two children. They divorced in 2007 and in 2013, he married little house on the prairie Actor melissa gilbert.
