Raebareli, 6 October (IANS) On Monday, the opposition alleged a completely fierce attack on the Uttar Pradesh government of a Dalit youth in Rae Bareli, accusing them of a complete breakdown of law and order in the state.
The victim, identified as Hariom, was beaten to death by a group of locals with sticks and belts, who misunderstood him for the thief. A video of the incident is showing a cruel attack, has gone viral online. The police have arrested five people in the case so far.
According to the victim’s family, Hariom Dandpur was on the way to the house of his in -laws in Jamunapur when he was surrounded by a mob who accused him of stealing a drone and throwing him.
Congress state president Ajay Rai, who met the victim’s family, hit the Yogi Adityanath government.
“This is very unfortunate. This Dalit boy was brutally beaten to death. This shows to what extent torture and injustice has increased under this government. The son of a Dalit family, Hariom Balamiki, was killed in this manner. He was killed, and the killers claimed, ‘We are the people of Bab.

Congress MP Manoj Kumar became emotional while referring to a video on social media.
“Whenever there are atrocities against Dalit brothers, it is very painful. I belong to the Dalit community and feel deeply sad.
Senior Congress leader Pramod Tiwari claimed that the law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh has “deteriorated to the extent that no one is safe, especially Dalit class people who are being targeted”.
“This clearly indicates that Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, or Chhattisgarh, Scheduled Castes are not safe among BJP ruled states,” he said.
Speaking about the incident, Samajwadi Party MP Awadhesh Prasad said, “A Dalit who was going to his in-laws was wrong for a thief. Despite repeatedly explaining that he was going to a relative’s place, the mob killed him.
Criticizing the incident, SP MP Virendra Singh said, “This is a very sad situation in the country that even after 75 years of independence, we are still promoting Manuwad. Such people do not hesitate to kill the poor through the crowd, and the government does not work against them. There is any incident which is a high caste.
Congress MLA Aradhana Mishra-Mona slammed the BJP-led government and said, “This is the ‘Ramrajya’ of the Bharatiya Janata Party. A young man was brutally beaten to death despite arguing for mercy. He refuses to accept the facts.”
Congress spokesperson Surendra Rajput claimed that “the mob lynching is the primary function of the BJP”.
He said, “Atrocities in the name of half-incomplete, crowd, mob, caste or cow’s protection-This is the identity of BJP rule. People committing such crimes should be put in jail and should be punished,” he said.
