Janashakti Janata Dal chief and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad’s elder son Tej Pratap Yadav has come out in support of his sister Rohini Acharya after recent public allegations of insult by his brother Tejashwi Yadav and aide Sanjay Yadav, saying, “Jaichands will have to pay the price and face the consequences”.

The former Bihar minister, who lost the election from Mahua Assembly seat, expressed his sentiments in support of his sister Rohini Acharya in a post on his X handle and blamed ‘Jaichand’, a metaphor of traitors, for the crisis.

Yadav said, “I will not tolerate the insult to my sister under any circumstances…Jaichands will have to pay the price for their misdeeds…they will have to face the consequences. Whatever happened to Rohani didi has shocked me. I have tolerated whatever happened to me, but I cannot tolerate this insult to my sister. This is unacceptable and intolerable.”

He said, “I have to tell all these Jaichands… if they target our family, the people of Bihar will never forgive them.”

RJD president Lalu Prasad’s daughter Rohini Acharya on Sunday alleged that he was “swearing” and extorting “crores of rupees and a party ticket” in return for a “dirty kidney” given to her ailing father.

A day after leaving for Delhi, claiming that he was “thrown out” from his parents’ house by his younger brother Tejashwi Yadav’s associates, the 47-year-old shared ridiculous details of what happened at his place following the party’s defeat in the Bihar assembly elections.

In some posts on his

Acharya, who donated a kidney to Prasad a few years ago, had contested the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from Saran, but was unsuccessful.

In her emotionally charged post, she lamented that she sacrificed her life to save her father “without caring about the consent of her husband and in-laws or the well-being of her three children”.

Taking a dig at his father’s successor Tejashwi Yadav, he said, “All married women, if they have a brother, should never take such a step. They should ask their brother to donate their kidney or that of a Haryanvi friend.”
