Srinagar, May 29: In a significant success, the police in Kulgam arrested a female drug pedaler and recovered sufficient amounts of contribution from her possession.
A police spokesman said that a police party at a police station Kimoh at a checkpoint installed in Sofigund noticed that a woman tried to escape from the spot. The alert police party immediately caught him. During the search, 07 grams of brown sugar, 2 kg of poppy seeds and cash amount ₹ 10,000/- were recovered from its occupation related to drug income. Lady Drug Paler (Name Back), wife of Manto Hussain, resident of Malda Calcutta A/P Sofigund, has been arrested and transferred to the police station where he is in custody.
Accordingly, a case video FIR No. 37/2025 has been registered at Police Station Caimoh under the relevant sections of the law and the investigation has been started, he said.
The police urged the general public that if you see drug pedaling or any other crime anywhere, then feel free to contact the nearest police establishment or dial 112. He also requested people to cooperate with the police in curbing the threat of drugs from the society.
