Labor is to launch a “Cost of Chaos” website criticizing the amount of government spending under Rishi Sunak.

It launches today, a month before local elections on May 2, and aims to calculate the cost of decisions taken by the Prime Minister, including the cancellation of the Northern Section election HS2 rail project.

The party said the cumulative cost of “VIP helicopter rides”, by-elections, the end of fixed-rate mortgages and other economic decisions meant the Conservatives had “wasted” £8.2bn.

It also suggested that 314 days could be lost due to a government reshuffle, parliament ending its sitting early and Mr Sunak waiting until January – the last possible moment – to call a general election.

Labour’s national campaign coordinator Pat McFadden said: “These shocking costs are the result of a party that has no ideas and is more interested in looking inward than facing the country and campaigning for The country contributes.”

Conservative Party chairman Richard Holden criticized the campaign and said labor Instead, the focus should be on plans for how to govern.

“This is a desperate attempt to divert attention from Angela Renner and the Angela Renner scandal. Sir Keir Starmertop team,” he said.

“Labour should not be wasting their time on dodgy websites and instead work out their plan. But the fact is they can’t because they have no plan for the country, which means they will send us back to square one, raising taxes, more borrowing and higher unemployment.”

Meanwhile, 20 labor councilors lancashire has resigned in protest, claiming Sir Keir Starmer’s party “wants to control whatever MPs want to say” and that the election process was unfair.

The mass resignations will see all 10 Labor members of Pendle Borough Council, including its leader, serve as independents.

They were joined by Labor councilors on Nelson Town Council and Briarfield Town Council.

After the resignation, a Labor spokesman said the party was focused on winning the election.
