Clinton Adams, also known as ClintonLord, has been charged with three counts of aggravated rape and one count of assault with intent to rape. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday.
“These allegations describe violent attacks carried out in an area still affected by the wildfires in January.” LA County District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman said. “It is disgusting to take advantage of a historic disaster and cause serious harm to two women. These women showed courage by coming forward to report the attacks on them.”
Adams, 32, was arrested on November 19 and remains in custody. Police released his photo last week as they continue to search for more alleged victims.
Prosecutors allege that Adams met the women locally and brought them on separate occasions to the Pacific Palisades property, which he claimed was his home, where he sexually assaulted at least two of them.
The property was evacuated due to smoke damage from the January wildfires. Investigators say Adams vandalized and used the vacant home without the owners’ knowledge.
LAPD Detective Brent Hopkins said, “When we arrested him he was a transient.” “The owners of the house did not allow him to live in their house.”
Hopkins said Adams is believed to frequent the Westside area of L.A. and meet with his alleged victims in the area. “We believe there may be other victims out there,” the detective said.
According to court records, the first alleged attack occurred on June 29 and the second allegedly occurred on August 7 and 8. Hopkins said both victims reported the alleged assaults to the LAPD and identified Adams by name.

Investigators say his public persona is a stark contrast to the allegations.

Adams has pleaded innocent and is being held on $1.475 million bail. He will next appear in court in January. If found guilty, he could be sentenced to 90 years to life in prison.
Court and prison records show Adams has had previous run-ins with law enforcement, including arrests in California and Florida, and he has spent time on probation. He has also been the subject of a restraining order in Florida.
