pop superstar Kylie Minogue is set to delight fans with the upcoming release of a special 10th anniversary christmas album It features a brand new track, which took a decade to create.

The new song, titled “Christmas,” debuted on Wednesday scott mills breakfast show on BBC Radio 2, where Minogue appeared as a guest.

The upcoming album, aptly described as bringing together “the best of Kylie Christmas”, will prominently feature fan favorites like “At Christmas” and “100 Degrees”.

Additionally, it includes his signature renditions of classic holiday tunes such as “Santa Baby” and the much-loved “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year”.

minogue Mills was reported to have recorded the album during a brief hiatus during his Tension Tour earlier this year.

“I probably shouldn’t have done anything, but no, I went into the studio and worked on some new Christmas songs because it’s the 10th anniversary of my Christmas album and I thought, ‘Why not’,” she said. “I had a song I had to practice on. I had to get it out. It took 10 years to make it and that song is ‘Christmas’.”

To fully immerse herself in the festive spirit during the summer recording sessions, Kylie told Mills an amusing anecdote, revealing that she had ingeniously used a Christmas stocking she had obtained from reading a CBeebies bedtime story.

“I think they gave me a gift, like a Christmas stocking,” he told Mills. “I thought, I’ve got to have something Christmassy and I guess that’s it.”

She continued: “We didn’t get a chance to make fairy lights. We didn’t get a chance to make paper chains. But we were very Christmassy in spirit.”

Album, officially titled Kylie Christmas (Totally Wrapped), is scheduled for a festive release on December 5.

Distributed by Warner Records, it is currently available for pre-order.

Reflecting on the project, Kylie said: “It’s been so much fun to revisit a Kylie Christmas after 10 years.” She concluded, “Fully Wrapped has given me the opportunity to write and record four new songs and add a little extra sparkle – I can’t wait to have everyone turn up the volume on the new single, Christmas.”
