Kunal Ghosh’s social media post argue on ‘Old vs New’ Trinmool leaders

Justin, 04/10/202504/10/2025

New Delhi, 4 October (IANS), even Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Kunal Ghosh’s cryptic social media post instead of being silent instead of protecting the party against Citer Party leaders, its Supreme Mamata Banerjee, and the West Bengal government has again argued the issue with the “Old VS” leaders.

They have a penchet to speak out loud, even if it is seen as political or diplomatically wrong.

Ghosh spoke against experienced Trinamool leaders like Sudeep Bandyopadhyay, Saugata Ray, Kalyan Banerjee among other Lok Sabha candidates of his party before next year’s assembly elections.

He even attended an event organized by the opponent of Bandyopadhyay, who reportedly gave him his party post.

Mamta Banerjee’s nephew and successor clearly, Abhishek Banerjee is also known for encouraging young Trinmool leaders.

Therefore, Ghosh’s actions led to a hypothesis that he was acting for Abhishek Banerjee.

However, Ghosh returned soon.

Mamta Banerjee supported her choice of party candidates and all of them proceeded to successfully return to the Lok Sabha.

But tension persists, as referred to for the “Old vs. Youth” fight within the Trinmool Congress.

Critics indicate it as a result of differences between Mamata Banerjee and Diamond Harbor, Abhishek Banerjee’s three -time MP.

Stiring Abhishek Banerjee’s leadership, billboards have also been called.

There are unconfirmed reports of the existence of opposite “camps”, each has been aligned with Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee.

On the one hand some “followers” have privately stated that Mamata Banerjee’s political and administrative methods are “ancient” and the party needs to “modernize”.

On the other hand, Mamata Banerjee’s loyalists claim that such efforts in “modernization” are turning into the party’s “corporate”.

Many of the “seniors” were told that I was demanding consultation with the I-PAC, once under the leadership of Prashant Kishore before entering politics.

However, it was a “new” party camp, which is said to have influenced the decision of face to face with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which was emerging as a major political power in the state.

However, a part of Trinamool leaders has tried to give the controversy a new apparel for “Mamata Banerjee our leader, Abhishek our general”.

However, critics soon stated that “General” means that the growing glimpse of the Trinumool Congress National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee, who is being seen as the head of the organization, while Mamata Banerjee participated in the rule.

Incidentally, the Chief Minister had earlier publicly accepted himself for a lack of enough time for his party organization.

Meanwhile, when the state government was at the end of receiving an intern at the RG car hospital in Kolkata for several administrative lapses, including rape and murder, senior leaders were found to come to its defense.

Some Trinamool leaders spoke against the administration and even participated in symbolic protests.

Even at that time, Ghosh accused senior Trinmool leaders of remaining silent, and did not take responsibility for defending the party and state administration.

A senior leader, part of the organizational team, privately accused the state government for administrative laps and said that it should solve the problem without the party’s participation.

If this is the beginning of another controversy, it does not grow well for the ruling Trinumool Congress with West Bengal assembly elections a few months away.
