K’Taka Caste Census: Union Minister Kumaraswamy says that if the Vokaliga community is completed with injustice,

Bengaluru, September 20 (IANS) Union Minister and prominent leaders of all political parties belonging to the Vokkaliga community on Saturday participated in the “Vokaliga Community Awareness Meeting” organized by the Community West Nirmalanandnath Swamy.

A meeting was called about the socio-economic and academic survey known as a caste census starting from 22 September.

The leaders warned that if injustice is done to the Vokaliga community, they would be forced to take the streets and start protests.

Central HD Kumaraswamy for Central Heavy Industries and Steel, Central Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Shoba Karandalaje, Deputy Chief Minister and Karnataka Congress President DK Shivakumar, Opposition R. Ashok, Karnataka Agriculture Minister N. Cheluvarasavami, leader of Karnataka. Ravi, and other prominent leaders of the Vokaliga community were present at the meeting.

The meeting has assumed importance as the Vokaliga community is considered the second largest in Karnataka after Lingayats.

Talking to the media after the meeting, Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy said, “The Congress -led government has made every effort to increase tension in the state. If the report of caste census goes against the interests of our community and unjust is fulfilled, the fight will be taken to the streets under the leadership of Miralanandnath Swamiji.”

He also said, “The Government of Karnataka, without any prediction, is conducting the caste survey for the third time. First, the Kantharaju Commission was, then the Jayaprakash Hegde Commission submitted a report, and now the Madusudan Naik-Left Commission is conducting the caste census.

“The Karnataka government wants the caste census to be completed in the entire state in only 15 days. Nine of them are on the Navratri festival days. It remains to be seen how they will manage to prepare and submit a report in the remaining six days,” Union Minister Kumaraswamy commented.

“It appears that he is ready to submit a replica of the Kantharaju Commission report 10 years ago. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said that no direction can be given to the Backward Classes Commission as it is a statutory body. It reflects the prevailing situation,” he said.

Union Minister Kumaraswamy said that the meeting organized under the leadership of Nirmalanandanth Swamy had to discuss measures to discuss measures when injustice for the Vokkaliga community.

When asked about the inclusion of Vokkaliga-Christian lessostas under the Christian category in the caste survey format, Union Minister Kumaraswamy said, “He has made every effort to create unrest in the society. In the future,” Union Minister Kumaraswamy warned.
