Kolkata Police tomorrow makes arrangements for Durga Puja Carnival on Red Road

Kolkata, October 4 (IANS) West Bengal government is set to organize Durga Puja Carnival on Red Road in Kolkata on Sunday. Like every year, many major worship committees will participate in this carnival.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, her cabinet minister, other dignitaries and eminent guests. In view of this, the Kolkata Police by the Kolkata Police to ensure that the Pooja Carnival has been organized smoothly. Carnival symbolizes the end of Durga Puja festival in Kolkata.

According to Kolkata police sources, a large number of police personnel will be deployed on Red Road on Sunday. It is learned that about 106 puja committees will participate in the puja carnival.

Red Road and Kinderpore Road will be closed on Sunday. The idols in the area adjacent to the Red Road will be kept from Saturday night.

A police officer will be in charge of each idol during the carnival. At the same time, some distance will be maintained between each worship committees.

Several senior officials of Kolkata Police will be on duty from Sunday morning. Special arrangements are being made for foreign invitations which will participate in the carnival.

Monitoring will be done through the drone.

Policemen will also be deployed at Babu Ghat, where these idols will go for immersion after attending the carnival.

On the other hand, Kolkata Metro is going to provide additional metro services on the occasion of Carnival.

He issued instructions on Friday that additional metro services would run on the blue line and green line on Sunday night.

Metro officials have said that on that day, a total of 6 special trains (3 up and 3 down) will run on Sunday.

There will be a gap of about 20 minutes between each train. To ensure that this step has been taken that normal passengers have no difficulty traveling from one end of the city to another on the night of Carnival.
