King Charles makes important announcement to celebrate Easter

King Charles delivers heartfelt message to public on Easter

King Charles marked Maundy Day with a pre-recorded audio highlighting the importance of care as he and Kate Middleton battle cancer.

Mirror In his speech, the monarch will speak about how Jesus set “an example of how we should serve and care for each other,” reports said on Wednesday.

He will also emphasize “how we need and benefit greatly from those who extend a hand of friendship to us, especially in times of need.”

While Charles did not directly address his “darling” daughter-in-law, the Princess of Wales, in his speech, it will be his first public address since revealing he has a cancer diagnosis following a months-long absence following abdominal surgery.

The king himself is currently undergoing treatment for cancer, which is why his words will undoubtedly be seen as a reference to the royal family’s current medical struggles.

Since Charles’ doctors have asked him to avoid crowds during his treatment, it is unlikely that he will attend the ceremony in person. However, Queen Camilla will represent the royal family.

The Queen is also expected to attend Sunday’s Easter church service with Camilla.

The King’s speech will be heard in full on Thursday during the Royal Maundy Day at Worcester Cathedral.
