Killed, jailed in communal violence, are made up of backward classes: Siddaramaiah

Gadag (Karnataka), September 20 (IANS) expressing deep concern, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said on Saturday that in coastal and Mangaluru areas, in the name of religion, in the name of religion, the people who were in jail in the name of religion have always been from backward communities.

He questioned how long the children of backward castes should sacrifice in the name of religion.

He was speaking after inaugurating the Silver Jubilee celebrations of Taluk Kuruba Association and State-level Kankotsava.

Siddaramaiah said that those who benefit from inequality and exploitation of caste are against social change, saying that such people cannot tolerate children from educationally and economically moving backward houses.

The Chief Minister said, “Therefore, in the name of God and religion, they are only children of backward castes who are made victims.”

He said, “We should not remain silent with those who sacrifice the children of our communities in the name of religion,” they urged.

He reminded that “Education – Sangathan – Sangharsh” was a mantra given by Ambedkar to the exploited and backward communities.

“Through education, mass organization and collective conflict, the exploited communities should secure their rights and rights,” they insisted.

“As long as the caste system exists, equality will not be strong. The only solution is education and organization,” he said.

He also said that education should be progressive, scientific and rational.

“Even doctors and engineers, who call themselves educated, still follow blind beliefs and superstitions. It is often educated that is the worst casteist, standing as obstacles for social progress,” Siddaramaiah commented.

“Brotherhood, equality, and tolerance of other religions are great values ​​inherent in our constitution,” he said, saying that these are the biggest strength of backward communities.

Speaking about Nada Habba Dashera, Siddaramaiah said, “We invited Booker Award winning writer Banu Mushtaq, who brought glory to our land, to inaugurate the ceremonies. A former MP opposed two conditions.

Nada Habba Dussehra is a ten -day festival celebrated in Mysuru, Karnataka, which marks the official festival of the state to the official festival of Dasra.

Siddaramaiah urged everyone to actively participate in the caste survey to be held in the state.

“Every person should record the name of their caste, and members of the Kuruba community should mention only ‘Kuruba’ in the caste column,” he said.
