‘Khela Hokhi’ in Bihar: Section of Congress insulted Nitish Kumar, says JDU leader

Janata Dal (United) political advisor and spokesperson KC Tyagi said on Saturday that it is very clear that the grand alliance government in Bihar is on the verge of collapse. He also accused a section of the Congress leadership of repeatedly “insulting” Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leaders gathered at party supremo Lalu Prasad’s house in Patna on Saturday to attend an emergency meeting called by Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav.

According to ANI, sources said that Tejashwi Yadav told the party leaders present in the meeting that Nitish Kumar is ‘respectable’ but there are many factors which are not in his ‘control’.

Sources quoted Tejashwi Yadav as saying, “CM Nitish Kumar was and is respectable. Many things are not in his (Nitish Kumar’s) control. RJD’s allies in the ‘Mahagathbandhan’ always respect the Chief Minister…”

Sources said that Tejashwi also indicated many unexpected developments in the state. Yadav reportedly said, “The Chief Minister used to sit with me on the stage and ask, “What was there in Bihar before 2005?” I never responded… Now, more people are with us.”

“Whatever was left incomplete in two decades, we managed to complete it in a short period of time – be it jobs, caste census, increasing reservation etc. ‘Bihar mein abhi khel hona baaki hai’ (Bihar mein khel abhi yet to begin) Yadav was quoted as saying.
