Kevin Costner dumped Chris Hemsworth to keep his role?

Chris Hemsworth has revealed an instance when he didn’t get a role in a Kevin Costner-directed movie because Costner kept the role for himself.

“There was a movie, a script that I read and loved, and I thought, ‘I want that,’ and then someone said, ‘Kevin Costner has that [role]”,” Hemsworth told entertainment tonight in an interview.

“I am glad to [to have] Him as a director. I was like, “Damn!” [I spent] One day I spent an hour trying to convince him, and he said, “I’m doing it, kid.” It didn’t work. I didn’t get the role. “

Hemsworth didn’t reveal too many details about the film, describing it as “abstract and fun,” noting that it’s “a little story about a man and a woman.”

“You can definitely see better results being in his wheelhouse as far as a Western setting. There are horses involved, he’s a wrangler, and my wife read the book and loves horses,” Hemsworth Si said.

“We have 10 or 11 horses at home, so she said, ‘You have to do this.'”

The outlet asked Costner about Hemsworth’s interest in the film at CinemaCon last week.

“It’s a love story, but as long as I’m young enough to play it, I’ll play it. Chris is going to have to wait his turn,” Costner said.
