Kerala BJP Councilor. Anilkumar’s suicide note convicts financial crisis

Thiruvananthapuram, 20 September (IANS) Thirumala ward councilor and BJP leader of Thiruvananthapuram Corporation. Anilkumar was found hanging in his office on Saturday.

A suicide note recovered from the spot suggests that he was abandoned during a serious financial crisis despite helping many people during his lifetime.

Anilkumar, who also led the Valiyashala Farm Tour Society, wrote that the cooperative had a loan of about Rs 6 crore, but had assets worth Rs 11 crore.

He urged that these assets be used to repay investors and appeal that their family should not be convicted.

He also thanked all those who supported him.

The note allegedly criticized the BJP leadership, alleging that the party did not have the party when the society faced financial difficulties.

He clarified that neither he nor his family had taken any money for personal use.

A major BJP face in the capital, Anilkumar led several agitations at the corporation and the district level.

His sudden death shocked the local political scenario.

Although BJP city president Karamna Jayan admitted that the cooperative society was under stress, but denied any misuse and the party was with the deceased.

Meanwhile, local BJP supporters joined a TIFF with media personnel, who came to report the incident.

Objections were raised by local BJP workers and seen in a TIFF along with media personnel.

The media people came under the Duresh and their equipment was also targeted by BJP workers.

The suicide incident has shocked the BJP leadership as 101 member Thiruvananthapuram Corporation, BJP is a major opposition party and soon, with the local body elections being held in the state, the state leadership is hoping that they will be able to gain control of Thiruvananthapuram Corporation.
