New Delhi, 5 October (IANS) reacted rapidly to the announcement of AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal, which decides any alliance with the Congress for the 2027 Goa assembly elections, BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal accused him of practicing opportunistic politics and changing colors like a Girlon.
“Arvind Kejriwal changes color like a chameleon. He is a master of opportunistic politics. When convenient, he joins hands with the Congress, when not, he stands against him for political gains. That is why it is difficult for the public to trust him,” Khandelwal said in a scary attack on Sunday.
His comment came a day later when Kejriwal clearly rejected any tie-up with the Congress, stating, “There will be no alliance with the Congress under any circumstances.”
Kejriwal dismissed the reports stating that some AAP workers in Goa were open to join the hands with the Congress before the election.
Talking to reporters after inaugurating a party office in Mayam, 16 km from Panaji, Kejriwal said that the Congress party “the people of Goa had cheated and cheated the most”.
The AAP chief accused the Congress of “supplying an MLA to the BJP in wholesale” and said that his party would independently fight the Goa elections.
Meanwhile, calling Kejriwal a “habitual false”, Congress leader Udit Raj accused the AAP of being “no morality” and “false” promises for political gains.
“Kejriwal had said that he would not take security and meet the people of Delhi without any ban. But later, he took security from both Delhi and Punjab. He built a mansion for himself on the basis of lies. He also took an oath on his children that he would never be an allies, but he did not do any morality.”
Khandelwal said that Kejriwal remains a part of the Opposition Block India, despite removing itself from the Congress in Goa, including the Congress.
Meanwhile, commenting on the upcoming Chhath Puja celebrations in Delhi, Khandelwal said, “This year, Chhath will be celebrated with great enthusiasm and happiness. Under Delhi, under the leadership of Delhi, Delhi government will provide all necessary facilities. New ghats are being constructed.
