Keith Thurman Jr. has questioned whether wbc Super welterweight champion Sebastian Fundora will actually rearrange the canceled bout between them after it was postponed due to injury.
Fundora was forced to postpone her bout with Thurman after suffering a hand injury during last week’s bout. Former unified welterweight title holder Thurman was set to challenge for Fundora’s WBC belt on October 25, with the entire card now canceled after the headline bout fell through.

Thurman has not competed for a world title since losing his WBA title. Manny Pacquiao in 2019, and now he’ll have to wait a little longer for his shot at championship gold.
Taking to social media to call out the champion, Thurman said: “Your man ‘One Time’ is still working, I’m still working, moving, posting. Nothing can stop me from doing great things in this game once again.”
“So, Fundora, get well, boy; pay attention to that hand. Go to the apothecary. Do what you need to do, baby. Acupuncture, get them fixed, okay. Get the oil changed. Show me the doc if you got it, baby.”
“People don’t believe in you, son, they think you’re running, they think you’re doing weird things in the game. You won’t be the first or the last. Get well soon – let’s make history. Don’t back down from a great fight.
“No one believes you want this smoke, baby. I was it, I was the fire, bringing the heat. Come on man, don’t back down from this. Get well, get well, and let’s go to war.”
Thurman also expressed sympathy for the fighters on the undercard, which included another world title bout between WBC super featherweight champion O’Shakey Foster and Stephen Fulton.
“We all got the news – it is very unfortunate to have to deal with this postponement.
“Personally, I’ve been here before, I know the undercard guys are going to be hot, this whole card is going to be over the top. The fight fans, many have already booked their tickets, are getting ready to come out and show that love and support.

“I just want to thank everyone who has been riding with me, rocking with me and looking forward to this event.”
At the time of writing, a new date for the card has not been announced, with Thurman hinting at moving the fight night to 2026.
He continued: “We’re not sure when the kick-off date will be, they’ll announce it. Rumor is January, but we’ll have to stay tuned.”
