Oscar-winning actor’s directorial debut It tells the story of four siblings (Winslet, Toni Collette, Andrea Riseborough and Johnny Flynn) when their mother’s (Dame Helen Mirren) health unexpectedly deteriorates just before Christmas, forcing them to confront chaotic family dynamics in the face of their potential loss.
Winslet told The Independent, “It’s hard to talk about loss and grief, whether it’s happened to you or not. It’s something that happens to all of us eventually. I hope it starts a conversation that people might otherwise struggle with.”
