Kate Middleton receives ‘serious’ apology ahead of Easter Sunday celebrations

Kate Middleton to skip major events due to cancer treatment

Kate Middleton has received a serious apology ahead of her upcoming Easter Sunday celebrations.

Last week, the Princess of Wales revealed she had begun treatment for cancer after an abdominal surgery in January revealed she had cancer.

The news follows widespread speculation around the world about the princess’ health and location. Royal commentator Lee Cohen asserts that the story has significance even in the United States.

Cohen told host Nana Akua on GBN America that he had “personally apologized” on behalf of “despicable” celebrities in the United States and believed many were involved in the online conspiracy surrounding Kate.

Cohen slammed the “cheap photos” taken of US celebrities and presenters and said the digs “come at the expense of the Princess of Wales”.

A number of celebrities, including actress Blake Lively, took to social media to apologize for taking part in the viral conspiracy about Kate, admitting she was “ashamed” of her actions after learning the princess had cancer.

Lively told her Instagram followers: “I’m sure no one cares today, but I feel like I have to admit it. I made a stupid post around the ‘Photoshop fail craze’ and oh my god, that post today I’m ashamed. I’m sorry.”

Cohen admitted he was “surprised” to see celebrities take responsibility and said they may have had “a hit to their own popularity.”

In her statement, the Princess of Wales asked for “privacy” after “an extremely difficult few months for our whole family.”

The princess said: “This is of course a huge shock and William and I have been doing everything we can to deal with and manage this matter privately for the sake of our young family.”

This Sunday’s ceremony at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, will mark King Charles’ return to the public eye after almost two months. However, earlier reports suggested that Kate Middleton, who is also battling cancer, and her immediate family, including Prince William, would not be able to attend the event.
