Kate Hudson talks about ‘very difficult’ split from ex-husband Chris Robinson

Kate Hudson shed some light on the heartbreak she’s experienced in the past after her split from Chris Robinson, and also explained why it really happened.

“My relationship with Chris was beautiful and there was a lot of love there, but I really moved on from him,” the 45-year-old actress said. SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show Referring to Robinson’s frequent travels while touring with his band.

“That wasn’t an easy breakup. I loved her very much, but it wasn’t going to be like this for the rest of my life.”

Hudson married the Black Crowes frontman on New Year’s Eve in 2000, when she was only 21. They divorced in 2007 and now have a son, Ryder (20).

almost Famous Starr praised Robinson’s musical talent and called him a “brilliant” and “incredible” frontman, but the tour ultimately strained the relationship.

“With it comes this kind of life as a nomad,” he said, “and as an artist, it can be hard on relationships.”

Hudson also shared that she feels she was too young when she married Robinson, now 57, and she believes that’s why the marriage ended.

She added, “I was like a kid. When my life really started moving forward and I wanted to go in different directions, we weren’t really in the same place to move forward.”
