Srinagar, Apr 29 (KDC): The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Srinagar Bench, on Tuesday, refuted claims on social media on Tuesday, which suggested that it has issued a strict warning to the speaker of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Abdul Rahim, and Assembly Secretary Manoj Kumar Pandit.
In an official statement to Srinagar -based news agency Kashmir.com, the tribunal clarified that an contempt petition (2024 number 225) is actually pending before the CAT Srinagar bench and listed for hearing on 28 April 2025. However, the viral social media message has not claimed.
Sudhir Kumar Jha said, “A warning of a warning for J&K Assembly Speaker and Secretary is false, malicious and completely baseless, alleging warning from this tribunal on social media.”
The authorities urged the public not to be misled by rejected materials on social platforms and emphasized that the orders issued officially by the tribunal should only be considered authentic. (KDC)
