“Kashmir not a Bible 1000 year old struggle”: Congress rejected Trump’s arbitration proposal

US President Donald Trump offered to focus on the Kashmir issue between India and Pakistan, Congress MP Manish Tiwari said on Sunday that the issue is not “the Bible 100 -year struggle”, but started only 78 years ago.

In a post on X, Tiwari said, “In the American establishment, one needs to educate his President @Potus @Redonaldtrump seriously that Kashmir is not a 1000-year Bible. It began on October 22, 1947-78 years ago when Pakistan had attacked the independent state of Hu. 1947, which includes the illegal occupied areas till now.

Congress Rajya Sabha MP Jairam Ramesh also reacted and demanded an all-party meeting headed by the Prime Minister on several issues.

“The Indian National Congress once again demands that an all-party meeting should be called under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister and a special session of Parliament should be organized on the issue of the conclusion of Pahalgam, Operation Sindoor and Enmity, which can be first said in Washington DC and later by the governments of India and Pakistan, so that all these issues can be discussed.

Trump continued the claim that the US had helped the broker peace and offered to mediate a solution on Kashmir.
