“Bipolar disorder has its own defense system. Denial. When you’re manic, you don’t think you’re sick. You think others are overreacting. You feel like you’re seeing the world more clearly than ever before, when in reality you’re completely out of control,” he writes.

“I regret and am deeply ashamed of my actions in that state and am committed to accountability, healing and meaningful change,” he said. “But that does not excuse what I did. I am not a Nazi or an anti-Semite. I love Jews.”
Ye went on to apologize to the black community before opening up about the mental health issues he faced last year.

“In early 2025, I fell into a four-month manic episode that resulted in psychotic, paranoid, and impulsive behavior that ruined my life,” he wrote. “As things become more and more unsustainable, there are times when I don’t want to be here anymore.”
