Kannada actress Saanya Iyer recalls her cameo role in Darshan Thoogudeep starrer Gaja

Kannada actress Saanya Iyer is rapidly rising to become a prominent figure in the entertainment industry. She rose to fame with her portrayal in the TV series Mangala Gowri Maduve (also known as Putta Gowri Maduve) and is eagerly awaiting her debut film Gowri and recently collaborated with News 18 Kannada Digital. Looking back on her cameo role in K Madesh’s film Gaja, Sania recalled the experience of playing actor Darshan Thoogudeep’s daughter. Although her role was brief, Saanya said she was happy to be a part of Darshan’s glorious 25-year journey.

Saanya will showcase her talent at the Belli Parva-D 25 event on February 17 in Srirangapatna, Karnataka. The Putta Gowri Maduve actress expressed her excitement about the upcoming event, stressing how much fun she is taking part in. Scheduled to start at 05:00 pm, Saanya is preparing for her show in earnest and is currently training in Bangalore. Although she did not reveal the song selection for the performance, it is expected to be a captivating addition to the event, with Darshan also playing an important role.

On February 14, Saanya released two posters of her upcoming film Gowri and social media was abuzz with excitement. She shared the posters on Instagram and added a message celebrating love as a universal language in the caption of the picture and conveyed Valentine’s Day wishes on behalf of the Gowri team. The poster shows Saanya on Samarjit Lankesh’s shoulders and both are smiling at the camera, creating huge interest in the project among the audience. The film is directed by Indrajit Lankesh and stars Samarjit Lankesh as the male protagonist.

In response to Sania’s post, her fans flooded the comments section with heart emojis and wished her well for her upcoming film. Director Indrajit Lankesh revealed during the mahurat event to unveil the film that Gauri drew inspiration from his sister, late journalist Gauri Lankesh. It is noteworthy that Gauri Lankesh was a brave journalist who was unfortunately shot dead by Parshuram Waghmare, an alleged member of Sri Ram Sene.
