Gwalior/New Delhi, 30 September (IANS) Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia held a virtual meeting on Tuesday to review the progress of development works in his Lok Sabha constituency in Guna, Madhya Pradesh.
Along with district collectors and other administrative officials of various departments, BJP MLAs from Shivpuri and Guna districts and State Energy Minister Pradhan Singh Tomar attended the meeting, which the Union Minister almost addressed from New Delhi.
Union Minister Jyotiraditya Skindia, especially as a regular meetings for the last few months, holds such meetings, either his home district Gwalior or almost during his visit from New Delhi, this time, he discussed issues such as traffic and widening of roads at major places in Guna and Gwalior.
The Union Minister directed the district administration to ensure that widening roads within the city, and other major projects have been completed at the scheduled time.
He instructed public representatives (MLAs) and district BJP workers to visit people living in remote villages and ensure that people benefit from government schemes.
He said in a statement, “Shivpuri is taking a new shape and is slowly developing. The result should be visible on the ground. Widening the roads will not only make smooth traffic, but it will also make the city beautiful that will attract tourists.”
On September 30, 2001, after the death of his father and senior Congress leader Madhavarao Scindia in an aircraft accident, Guna was elected Lok Sabha MP, Jyotiraditya Scindia maintained a close relationship with the people of his political stronghold.
He suffered a major political shock when he lost the Lok Sabha elections in 2019.
The following year (in March 2020), Jyotiraditya Scindia ended his prolonged association with the Congress and joined the BJP.
On the anniversary of the death of his father and former Union Minister Madhavarao Scindia, Jyotiraditya Scindia on Tuesday shared a picture with his father without any caption on X.
According to official information, Jyotiraditya Scindia will visit Gwalior on Wednesday, and meet people at his residence Jai Vilas Palace.
