Juno winner struggle to sell concert ticket sparking conversation of Canada's music industry

Juno Award winner and Grammy-Nominated artist said that he is struggling to sell tickets for his upcoming tour and has a big conversation about the state of the Canadian music industry.

“I am very embarrassed to tell you this, but I am going to tell you anyway,” he said in a ticket video. “If I do not sell twenty or so many thousands of tickets on my tour in the next 48 hours, it will be canceled.”

The 32 -year -old honesty is attacking a cord, in which the video has been viewed more than 1.3 million times on Ticketkok.

He told the citynews, he is trying to be honest before his ego, “and it should feel like an opportunity to do so and should be straight with the squad that things were going wrong, and I was hopeful that if they wanted to see the show that they might have already bought tickets.”

The success is also sharing his message in support of small artists, who play in medium -sized places, many of which have been closed in Toronto over the last few years.

YouTuber and music expert Alex Brewda feel that concerts have changed their spending habits due to sky-high prices for the concerts.

“A small site show that can be five, ten rupees, it is very easy to save five, ten dollars. You don’t just buy fast food a day,” Bruva said. “That medium -sized show, you start coming to a hundred dollars range. You start looking at it and you go,” Okay, I can put it to a coldplay ticket or Taylor Swift ticket. “

Brewda also said that more fans are buying the last minute tickets, some Saxe addressed in his tickets:

“Just if you were waiting for the ticket to buy a ticket, or by night weeks, this approach is not just a working because there will be no show to buy tickets.”

Sax said that art affects arts as a whole to musicians who only supported the entire top of the industry.

“Because if you have to be famous on a large scale to create a permanent music career, what you do as an artist and what you do as someone, it is difficult to risk with it.”

They have to ask concert-gourors, “If you have 10 artists who are your favorite artists and you are deciding which tickets to buy, buy tickets for those who are playing at the smallest places.”

If you sell enough tickets and the ‘Make Yourself on Home’ tour proceeds, Sachs is ready to play Massey Hall on October 1, 2025. He told Citynues that it is a dream to play this prestigious site as he was small.
