But it is believed that this is the first time in legal history that a treaty is being signed by a judge.

The UK government has argued that the International Court of Justice (ICJ) gives a verdict that the islands belong to Mauritius, which meant that it had no option but to interact on a deal for the islands.

The agreement, which is still not published, involves withdrawing the Diego Garcia Base for at least 99 years for the UK. The main block was removed when Donald Trump gave his blessings to sign.

But critics believe that it will weaken the Western security infrastructure in the Indian Ocean and can cause Chinese intervention in the islands.

However, the challenge has focused on the complaints of Chagosian expelled from Diego Garcia. The UK government has negotiated the right to return to the outer islands, but the islands believe their rights will not be protected.

Ms. Pompe, the claimant, was represented by Philip Rule KC, who was the head of Michael Pool, and directed by Stuart Luke of Luke and Brijer Law. The government was represented by William Irwin and John Bethel.

This challenge was brought by the Great British PAC, which was established to bring legal challenges to the Star Government.

The government said that after the court prohibition, the Chagos Islands Deal is a “right thing” for the UK, which prevents the agreement from temporarily ending.

A government spokesperson said: “We do not comment on the ongoing legal matters. The deal is the right thing to protect British people and our national security.”
