Toronto-Toronto International Film Festival is in large-screen heavyweight all small screen lineups, which will preview the new shows of Jude Law, Jason Betman, Tony Cell, Ethan Hawk and My Martin.
Festival organizers say its primetime will open from Slate Hulu’s “The Lowdown” with “Reservation Dogs” co-producer, writer and director Sterin Harjo. It inspires Hawk to highlight corruption as a Tulsi citizen journalist.
Meanwhile, Netflix hits the celebration with two limited chains: “Black Rabit,” as a manhattan restaurant and VIP lounge as brothers starring law and Betman; And the Canadian drama “Wayword”, Martin and Cell, Ryan Scott and Sara Gadon -starring a school for upset teenagers.
The 50th version of Star Whatsage Tiff indicates the lineup from 4 to 14, as the organizers say that all primetime screenings will include an expanded Q+A with creators and artists.
TIFF also announced 48 films at its short cuts program, and attended two fest prizes for international and Canadian shorts, introduced a new award for the best animated short.
The 48 shorts include the world premiere and singer Seal of “Dust to Dreams” directed by actor Idris Elba; And “The Contestant”, David Hasselhoff starred from the duo, Duo Patrick Xavier Bresson and Ivete Lucas.
The North American premiere includes Joker Hannah’s “Talk Me”, executive manufactured by Spike Lee, and “The Non-Actor” starring Maya Hawk and Victoria Pedaret.
The 20 Canadian titles include “The Girl Hu Road Moti” from “Bots” from the directors of the Oscar-Namaters Chris Lavis and McCosebovsky and “Scarborough”.
Kelly Fyffe-Marshall of Tiff ’22 feature gets involved in shorts lineup with “mons” “demons”, while TIFF returns with ’23 ballet doc “Swan Song” with Chelsey McMulan “Heelle”.
