Hyderabad, October 6 (IANS) After the announcement by the Election Commission of India, the code of conduct of the Code of Conduct came into force in Hyderabad district on Monday that the by-elections for the Jubilee Hills Assembly seat will be held on 11 November.
Chief Electoral Officer C. Sudarshan Reddy said that all arrangements are being made to ensure an independent, fair and peaceful election.

The Commission has directed that all the candidates and political parties disclose any criminal anticadent through newspapers, television and digital platforms to ensure transparency.
The official notification for the by -election will be released on 13 October, while the last date for filing nomination is 21 October.
The nomination investigation will be held on 22 October, and the return of candidature will be allowed by 24 October.
The votes will be counted on 14 November, and the election process will be completed by 16 November.
RV Karnan, returning officer of Hyderabad district, told Mediaperson that new voters can register their names in 10 days.
Karnan, who is the Commissioner of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), also said that with the announcement of the pole schedule, the model code of conduct came into force throughout Hyderabad district.
Elections will be held in all polling stations using electronic voting machines (EVMs) and voter verified paper audit trail (VVPAT) system.
The CEO assured that a sufficient number of EVMs have been tested and deployed to ensure smooth voting.
Voters can use their election photo identity card (EPIC) or other approved identification documents, including Aadhaar, Driving License, Passport, PAN Card, or Pension documents, at polling stations.
He urged the citizens to verify their names in the electoral role and actively participate in the democratic process.
According to the final election role published last week, the constituency has 3,99,000 voters-2,07,382 male, 1,91,593 females and 25 third-lingo voters.
In 2023 assembly elections, there were 3,85,287 in the constituency.
Thus, 3.49 percent of the votes have increased.
Polling for by -elections will be held in 407 polling stations in 139 places within the constituency.
In the 2023 elections, Gopinath of BRS defeated former Indian cricket captain and Congress candidate Mohammad Azharuddin by 16,337 votes to make a hat -trick.
In a multi-round competition, Gopinath secured 80,549 votes, while Azharuddin voted for 64,212 votes.
BJP’s L. Deepak Reddy was third with 25,866 votes.
All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) led by Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi also fielded his candidate, but he came fourth with only 7,848 votes.
The BRS has declared Gopinath’s wife Maganti Sunita as its candidate.
The Congress and BJP have not yet announced their candidates.
