JSW MG Motor India on Thursday announced that it will increase vehicle prices across its product range by up to 2% from January 1, 2026. The company said the increase will vary depending on the model and variant.

The automaker said the price increase is being implemented to compensate for rising input costs and other macroeconomic factors. This amendment will be applicable to all vehicle offerings sold by the company.

The announcement comes amid a broader industry trend of increasing prices. Luxury carmakers Mercedes-Benz India and BMW have said they will increase prices from January 2026, while Volvo is also expected to increase prices during the same period.

BYD India has also announced a price increase from January 2026. Earlier, automakers including Hyundai, Honda and Skoda had said they would raise vehicle prices by 2 to 3% citing higher input costs and operating expenses.

Although Mahindra has ruled out regular hike in January 2026This has left the door open for future increases if raw material costs rise sharply.

JSW MG Motor India operates as a joint venture between SAIC Motor and JSW Group. The company operates a manufacturing facility in Halol, Gujarat, with an annual production capacity of over 100,000 vehicles and employs approximately 6,000 people directly and indirectly.

Morris Garages, which was founded in 1924 in the UK, sells a range of models in India including the MG Hector, MG ZS EV, MG Gloster, MG Astor, MG Comet and MG Windsor.
