British Heavyweight sensation Itauma set to headline Queensberry show manchester before Christmas, but given his destructive tendencies a sufficient opponent for the undefeated 20-year-old has yet to be determined.
Former world champion Parker is fully focused on his upcoming fight with Wardley at the O2 Arena on October 25 – where the winner will be the mandatory challenger for Oleksandr Usyk for the WBO belt – but the New Zealander has also tried his hand in the ring to face Itauma.
“I don’t want to be out of the ring for too long. This fight once a year isn’t good enough. I want to fight as often as possible and if everything goes well with Wardley on October 25, get me back in the ring at the end of the year,” Parker insisted.
“I will take on any fight. I know Moses is a great talent. He can only fight what is in front of him and he is capable of taking care of business every time.
“He’s young, he’s powerful, he’s fast and this would be another fight I would love to fight. I’ll fight any fight. I’m not even in this boxing game to take my time, pick this fight or pick that fight, I’ll fight anybody.”
Itauma’s brutal first-round knockout of Dillian Whyte in August caused a stir in the blue-riband division, but Parker would gladly accept the challenge of facing a boxer known for greatness.
Parker said: “Listen, he’s a big threat. He’s a very talented young fighter who is dominating whoever is in front of him, so obviously everyone will be asking for big money, but if it can happen, it will happen.”
