Amman:
Jordan announced the closure of its airspace on Saturday as Iran threatened to retaliate for a deadly Israeli airstrike on its consulate building in Damascus, raising regional tensions.
Jordan’s Civil Aviation Authority, which sits between Israel and Iran, said the measure would initially be implemented for “a few hours” from 2000 GMT and would be reviewed and updated regularly “based on developments,” state media reported.
