Jonathan Cahn: The HERESY of the Nun

I have been pretty clear over the past few months that I believe Tucker Carlson has been doing some of his best work recently.

I think he ran circles around Ted Cruz in that disastrous (for Ted) interview where Ted couldn’t explain even the basic tenets of why he believes what he believes.

I think Tucker has been spot on in saying no topics should be off-limits, that’s kind of the entire basis of our system here in the United States — free speech and open debate….

I also think he’s been right in his criticism of AIPAC and the stranglehold they seem to have over Congress.

While I do love and support Biblical Israel because the Bible makes very clear they play a key role in bringing God’s plan for Salvation to the whole world, when it comes to politics and citizenship I am a dual citizen: First, I am a citizen of God’s Kingdom and future Citizen of Heaven, and Second I am a citizen of the United States.

I live here.

My loyalty is first and foremost to this country, and I don’t think we should apologize for that or be embarrassed by that or try to change that!

All of that said, I do think Tucker Carlson really missed it on this one.

A few weeks ago, Tucker had Mother Agapia Stephanopoulos on his show, a Catholic Nun living in the Holy Land.

And let’s just say it was very difficult to watch.  I actually stopped halfway through because nothing about it was sitting right with me.

Starting with the fact that this “Nun” looks like a man and has a beard:

Now I’m not going to write someone off just for their looks, that’s not fair, but honestly why does this Nun sound as much like a man as Britney Griner?

And at least Brit doesn’t sport a big old mustache!

Come on Agapia, shave that bad boy off, it’s disgusting!

But more disgusting than that were her ideas, which were flat out anti-Biblical in so many different regards.

The full video is here for context, although I recommend you skip this and scroll down to watch Jonathan Cahn instead…

While I haven’t always agreed with Jonathan Cahn on everything either (I do agree with him on most things and have for 10+ years now), I do think he absolutely hit this one on the screws…

This is a home run to center field over and past the bleachers into the parking lot behind the stadium.

Watch Jonathan Cahn’s excellent response debunking everything “she” said to Tucker:

FULL TRANSCRIPT:

Jonathan Cahn:

Tucker Carlson has teamed up with a nun to broadcast a message to millions of people about Israel and the end times. So, we’re going to deal with what happened. Is the rapture false—something made up by believers? Is the thousand-year reign of Messiah Jesus, the kingdom of God on earth, false? Is it a heresy?

Is Hamas actually made up of good guys? Is Israel the evil power actually seeking to decrease the Christian population and covertly do it in Arab nations? Are the real enemies the Christian Zionists? Do Muslims actually believe in Jesus? Is the millennium already here? And does Hitler have a part in all this? And much, much more.

Let me right now give you a taste—see for yourself the clip. As far as I understand it, they believe in the idea of the rapture because basically what they say is that they’re going to be swooped up into heaven, right? And then there’s going to be a thousand-year kingdom because basically there is no thousand-year millennium to come. And it has the support of so many Christians in the United States. And I don’t know if they’re fully aware how the Christians are doing.

You can get Jonathan Cahn’s newest book, “The Avatar” here:

We have to battle AIPAC and the Christian Zionists by the Christians standing up saying, “Not in my name.” We can’t be doing this. So if they’re getting money from these organizations, then Christians have to have enough concern to say, “I don’t want this happening in my name.”

This is Jonathan Cahn.

I don’t know what’s happening with Tucker Carlson, but he did it again. And it seems he’s increasingly obsessed with Israel and attacking it. He broadcast an interview with a nun who spends the whole time attacking Israel and those who support Israel. And she even attacks the Bible.

With Tucker’s help, she’s going along saying that Israel is actually consciously causing the Christian population in Israel to decrease. And Tucker is going to go even farther and claim that Israel is causing the Christian population to decrease beyond Israel in the Middle East. That Israel basically is evil, just trampling on Christians or Palestinians, taking land that doesn’t belong to it.

She’s going to claim that Muslims are not the problem in the Middle East. They’re actually like Christians, but the Jews of Israel are the problem. And also what she calls the Christian Zionists—and the Torah as well. She’s going to claim that the rapture is false, the millennium is not only false but a church heresy, and much, much more.

This was spread all across the world. The interview was designed to make American Christians think that they’re on the wrong side. The Muslim terrorists aren’t the issue—it’s Israel. And Israel is somehow against Christians. Well, I could not keep silent.

This is going to so many people. So I promise you I’m going to answer each one—full-on, total—what the truth is about the rapture, the millennium, the end times, Israel, and more. So stay tuned for the whole thing. And if I get a little passionate, you’ll understand.

All right. First, if a Jonathan Cahn channel doesn’t have more than 1 million subscribers, it’s a fake. It’s not me. They’re using AI to fake my voice.

This is the only real Jonathan Cahn channel.

Okay, first, I don’t know what Tucker Carlson’s motives are or the motives of the nun. I’m not attacking that—I’m not attacking them. We have to pray for all people, and I’m not speaking about others who may be from Catholic or Orthodox backgrounds but don’t agree with what’s presented in this video.

And there were those who attacked the woman’s looks. That’s not what we’re to do. I will, though, contend against—and attack with good reason—the accusations and arguments and propositions and doctrines that are made on this interview that Tucker put out around the world. In past times, Tucker Carlson has had some good things, some important things to say.

But I don’t know what’s happened to him. He has on this nun—an Eastern Orthodox nun—who makes claim after claim that he either basically encourages or goes along with or sets up. Let’s begin with the first claim from both of them: that Israel is actually evil and trying to decrease the Christian population within its borders. Check it out.

Are The Christians Decreasing?

Tucker Carlson:

That the Christian population is declining under Israeli rule.

Nun:

I think to a greater degree, little by little, it’s decreased. I keep reading that the Christian population in the region has declined dramatically since Israel became a state in 1948. Right? Where the great danger is if the Christians continue to diminish.

Jonathan Cahn:

Okay, you see this and it seems to be fact because they keep saying it and saying it and saying it, and much of everything else they say is founded on this accusation that Israel is actually causing the Christian population in Israel—and beyond—to decrease in the Middle East. Now, the truth is it is a total twisting of reality. Now, I don’t use the word “malarkey.” I never have, but I’m almost tempted to use it here. What a total inversion of truth.

First of all, there is one area in Israel where the Christian population has decreased. But to blame it somehow on Israel is like saying the Jewish population in Nazi Germany was decreasing because of Christians in England. No, the Christian population is decreasing.

Well, first of all, it’s decreasing all over the Middle East. Why is that? There’s no Israel in Syria. There’s no Israel in Saudi Arabia. There’s no Israel in Iraq.

But in these places, there’s one thing: Islam and radical Muslims who in the Middle East are largely enemies of Christians, enemies of Israel, and enemies of America. There’s only one common denominator. Christians are decreasing not because of Israel, but because of Muslim persecution. They are being persecuted, coerced, subjected—in some cases terrorized—attacked, and killed by Muslim rule.

You can get Jonathan Cahn’s newest book, “The Avatar” here:

And in the Palestinian-controlled territories—under the Palestinian Authority, under Gaza, under Hamas—it has nothing to do with Israel. And here’s another truth that totally destroys the falsehood that was presented: the Muslim population in Israel under the Israeli government is actually increasing. So why on earth would Israel want the people who are overall less violent—Christians, who in many cases are supportive of Israel—to decrease while increasing the people—the Muslims—who are overall more violent and more declared enemies of Israel? It makes no sense.

The truth is Israel is one of the safest places in the Middle East—if not the safest place in the Middle East—for Christians. And you know what else, which totally shatters all that was presented? The population of Christians inside of Israel—meaning not the Palestinian-ruled territories where they’re decreasing, but the land under Israeli sovereignty—is, listen, actually not decreasing but increasing. According to the Central Bureau of Statistics, the Christian population in Israel is increasing.

But in the non-Israeli-governed parts—in the Palestinian-controlled areas, West Bank, Gaza—it’s decreasing. So listen to this news headline: “The Christian population nearly wiped out under Hamas and Palestinian Authority rule.” That’s the West Bank and that’s Gaza. Here it goes: the Christian population, in areas governed by the Palestinian Authority and Hamas, has plummeted drastically by up to—listen—90% in some communities, down to 10%, a new study suggests. Why? Because of Muslim Palestinian persecution.

From that, Bethlehem went from 86% Christian Arab to now 10%, which is now 90% Muslim, which tells you not only is Israel not decreasing Christians—that’s an absolute falsehood—but Israel is protecting them, supporting them, as the Christian population is decreasing throughout the rest of the Middle East. But not in one place: Israel. The claims made by the nun—and broadcast and gone along with by Tucker Carlson—are totally false. The exact opposite of the truth.

Tucker Carlson, what are you doing? You’re spreading falsehood. Israel and its government meets with Christians, honors Christians, has special events for Christians, keeps the holy places of Christians guarded—where churches throughout the Middle East under Muslim authority or Muslim rule have been burned to the ground. Okay, let’s roll the next clip.

Do Christians Need Permission to Enter Israel?

Nun:

A Christian who lives in Bethlehem cannot go to Jerusalem to the Holy Sepulchre without a permit by Israel. And they don’t usually give those permits, especially now.

Tucker Carlson:

A Christian can’t?

Nun:

No. Without permission from Israel.

Jonathan Cahn:

Okay. So what does this mean? This is an Eastern Orthodox nun talking about Christians in a broadcast that is aimed at the West, particularly America and American Christians. Now, when she says “Christian,” it’s not what we might think.

You can get Jonathan Cahn’s newest book, “The Avatar” here:

Now, this is not to belittle it and not to say there aren’t those who have sincere beliefs, but she’s basically talking about Arabs born into Eastern Orthodox or Eastern Catholic houses. And that would go along with what the world’s definition of Christians is, but it’s not the biblical definition. Biblically, a true Christian is not being born into a “Christian” or cultural house, but being born again. That’s according to Jesus.

She’s more talking about a cultural identity. Now, it doesn’t mean there aren’t real ones. But let’s get our definition straight. I doubt that the nun is born again and most likely would not qualify under Jesus’s own definition.

Most Arabs in Israel are not even culturally Christian—they’re Muslim. Further, for many of these people, if not the overwhelming majority that she’s talking about, not being born again, it is cultural. And even in the cultural Christian world, it’s often influenced by Arabic culture, which is dominated by Muslims. And so some of these would call themselves enemies of Israel, and some have worked against Israel.

But again, the overwhelming population is Muslim and doesn’t like Israel and would rather have Israel be destroyed. Many have taken actions aimed at destroying Israel. This is what Israel is dealing with. Imagine being a little nation surrounded by a multitude of nations seeking your destruction.

Which Nations Are Seeking the Destruction of Israel

Surrounded by Syria, Iran, Lebanon—surrounded by terrorist organizations trying to destroy you—firing rockets into your civilian population from Hezbollah, Hamas. Then, on top of that, within your population you’ve got a population that’s allied with your enemies, funded and armed by them, and sending missiles seeking your destruction from inside as well as outside. What would we do in America if that was the case? And here, Israel’s the size of New Jersey.

And the nun is saying, in effect, that Israel is evil because Israel requires—and gives—permission for thousands of people from the West Bank to come into Israel. And again, many who would want Israel destroyed. In view of what Israel is confronted with every day, she might want to be thankful that Israel actually gives permission to thousands and thousands of people to come in.

The nun—and basically Tucker—accuse Israel of taking land, robbing land that doesn’t belong to them. You know, you could say that about virtually any nation on earth. Virtually every nation on earth came into existence by taking some land, including America. You could do the same thing—and much more—with America if you talk about the Native Americans.

Well, you could do it with France, with Italy, with virtually every nation. When nations win wars, they generally keep what they win. But with Israel, the world condemns it. Now, Israel won virtually—well, won every major war against it.

The fact that she could even complain against these little land issues compared means that Israel let those who were not of Israel—and those who were hoping for or seeking its destruction—keep much of the land, even though Israel won. But on top of it, let me say what they’re not telling you—and Tucker Carlson is not telling you, and the nun’s not saying anything. The wars that Israel fought in which it gained land were wars initiated by Israel’s enemies, and they were wars for Israel’s very existence. The nations sought to destroy Israel.

In each case, Israel was attacked—or about to be attacked—by forces far larger than it. Wars in which Israel’s enemies explicitly sought the extermination, the annihilation of the Jewish people of Israel. And what they also didn’t tell you—which is the truth and the actual history, which completely eviscerates that argument—is that in 1947 the UN divided up the land of Israel into two. And it said half for the Arabs, half for the Jews.

1947 UN Votes to Divide the Land of Israel

And the half for Israel—for the Jewish people—was mostly the south, which is largely desert land, and half for the Arabs, largely in the much better hill country. And you know what the Jewish people said? They said, “Okay, we accept it. Half of the land of Israel to the Arabs, half of the land of Israel to us.”

Do you know what the Arab side said? They said, “No. We don’t accept any Jewish existence on this land. We want it all, and we will drive the Jews out. And if Israel declares itself a state, we will annihilate it. We will wipe it out. We will destroy them.” That is the truth. You can look it up.

Now, the land of Israel is actually the land of Israel. But the people of Israel accepted giving half of it to another people. But the other people said, “No, we’re taking all, and we will destroy you.” This is not opinion. This is history.

On the day of Israel’s birth, five different Arab nations invaded the land to destroy it at the moment of its birth. And yet, by a miracle, Israel won. I’m sure the nun would have been happier if Israel was destroyed at its birth. But sorry—you tried to destroy Israel. You tried to annihilate the Jewish people, and you lost and they won.

Everything after that—the fact that Israel gave you anything—is gravy on the mashed potatoes. It’s above and beyond, and certainly above and beyond anything you would have given to them whom you sought to annihilate. I’m talking about those who wanted to destroy them. Next claim from Tucker Carlson himself.

Tucker Carlson:

The state of Israel, you know, is less than 80 years old, but that area is thousands of years old, controlled by various empires, as you’ve said, and then finally the British up until 1948.

Jonathan Cahn:

Okay. He says Israel is only 80 years old, but that area is thousands of years old. Well, the civilization in America—it was also thousands of years old, but America is only 250 years old. So what?

Well, the truth is actually Israel is more like 4,000 years old. But they were driven out of their land and now they came back to their ancient land—the land called Israel. But now, now—this one thing, this is mind-boggling. Check it out.

US Foreign Policy Led by Israel?

Tucker Carlson:

So West Bank, Gaza, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon—all places where U.S. foreign policy operates at the behest of Israel—see the destruction of Christian communities.

Jonathan Cahn:

What? With all due respect, Tucker Carlson, are you out of your mind? I don’t believe you believe in drugs, so I’m ruling that out. Do you understand what you just said?

He’s saying that U.S. foreign policy is led by Israel, which is, by the way, the same charge made by anti-Semites. U.S. policy is led by the U.S., by the way. Period. It may sometimes align with Israel, as Israel is America’s ally in the Middle East, and sometimes not.

But on top of that, this is charging that Israel is somehow leading American foreign policy and—with the intention of decreasing the Christian population in Muslim nations. This is not only anti-Israel conspiracy theory. This is—and I don’t use these words a lot—this is bonkers, loony hogwash, and hogwash can’t be kosher.

Israel is secretly causing its Muslim neighbors—who basically want Israel destroyed, enemies—to decrease their Christian population within the Muslim nations. What it’s doing is blaming Israel for its enemies’ persecution of Christian Arabs. Actually, Israel has intervened in the past on behalf of Christians living in Muslim nations.

Now again, I’m not speaking of the motives, but this argument itself could be classified under classic anti-Semitic conspiracy theories—the kind that has been launched against Israel and the Jewish people for thousands of years. The charges keep changing, but they keep coming. I mean, this is Candace Owens territory. Why is it that the Jewish people and Israel are the most accused, slandered, defamed, attacked people and nation in world history—up to and including what the nun and Tucker said on this video?

It’s deep. It’s ancient. It’s dark. I’ll answer it at the end.

Next charge.

Nun:

There’s a Christian home for boys that the Israelis just took over and cut up to make part of the wall that separated. So, it wasn’t done for security to build that wall. It was done simply to expand the borders of Israel.

Jonathan Cahn:

Okay. She’s saying the wall wasn’t built for security purposes. It was built only to expand Israel’s land and to take Christian land, Palestinian land. False.

She’s talking about Israel’s security wall. And here’s the truth she doesn’t tell you: there was no wall for years and years and years and decades. Israel—there was nothing. Why did Israel finally put up a wall?

Because Palestinians there had this habit of coming into Israel or sending in their youth into Israel with explosives strapped to their bodies—going onto Israeli buses, Israeli restaurants, Israeli gathering places—and blowing themselves up for the sole purpose of the “glory” of murdering Jews. Remember the suicide bombings? Remember them? It used to be all the time.

Imagine your family is in a neighborhood and next door is an organization with a mission of massacring your children, and they try to come onto your property with explosives strapped to their bodies. So you build a wall to protect your family. Israelis built a wall to protect against suicide bombings. And when they did it, the suicide bombings and murders dramatically stopped.

And now the nun vilifies Israel. It’s like vilifying the family that built a wall to protect its children from the murderers. “They’re the problem, they’re the evil ones.” Check out the next one.

Tucker Carlson:

And it’s Islamic terror. And most Americans have been taught for 25 years that Islamic terror is a threat. And, you know, there’s some truth in that, of course.

Jonathan Cahn:

So Tucker Carlson is saying, “Well, we’ve been taught that Islamic terror is the problem.” And he says, “Well, there’s some truth in that.” Really? Some truth? Some?

Nun:

We are being affected by this wall. It’s affecting our religious life. I can’t bring my—I can’t go to visit my convent easily anymore because of this wall. It’s disrupting our school life.

You can get Jonathan Cahn’s newest book, “The Avatar” here:

And we’d like to see—it’s not for security. It’s not separating Israel from Palestine. It’s separating Palestine from Palestine.

Jonathan Cahn:

Now, the nun is blaming Israel for Gaza having a protective wall. What she doesn’t tell you is that up until the massacre of October 7th, Israel let in about 20,000 Gazans every day into Israel. Some of them worked in the Israeli kibbutzim. It was found out later that these people—or some of them—gave maps of the houses and families in which they worked to Hamas to massacre them.

Roll the next one.

HAMAS

Nun:

Because I don’t think it’s Islamic terror that’s taking place in the first place. I think we have to disabuse ourselves of that notion—that this is a battle between Muslim and Jew.

Jonathan Cahn:

Now the nun is basically denying Muslim terror and saying it’s not about Muslims and Jews. No, not at all. October 7th—not about Muslims or radicals and Jews. No. So what’s the evil then? What is the evil behind all this?

What about Hamas? Listen.

Nun:

You know, constantly you heard after October—the October event—that Hamas, Hamas, Hamas. Even to this day we hear it’s Hamas, Hamas, Hamas. What is Hamas? Hamas are people who have had their homes taken from them, who, if they live in Gaza, have basically been in an open-air prison for certainly the last 20 years.

Jonathan Cahn:

So the nun is saying it’s not Hamas. Hamas is not a problem. Hamas is good. You didn’t know that.

That’s why you have to listen to these podcasts by Tucker and the nun. Hamas is actually good. What she’s saying is Hamas stands for good, upstanding people. The nun is actually supporting Hamas.

You didn’t know it, but Hamas is actually this nice organization of these nice people—you know, like the Rotary Club or the Fresh Air Fund. Who’s the problem? The Jews are the problem—the Jews who are evil, the crafty Jews who sinned against these good people. That’s what she’s saying.

You see, you didn’t know it, but the Nazis really weren’t evil. They were just good Germans—good German people—who had to deal with the Jews and their craftiness. Thank you, Sister Adolf, for clearing everything up for us. The Nazis are good, the Jews are bad. It’s all the Jews’ fault. They had it coming.

Hamas is good. All right. They massacred innocent fathers, mothers, and children, okay? They raped women and mutilated their bodies and beheaded babies in their cribs.

But aside from that—listen, everybody has their quirks—they’re basically good people. The Bible says, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil.” The truth is Hamas is evil, evil, evil. It’s in their original founding charter, which states the reason it was founded, and it’s the truest expression of their mission.

And it reads like a chapter of Hitler’s Mein Kampf—which is not an accident because they found copies of Hitler’s Mein Kampf in Gaza used by Hamas. Their founding charter calls for the destruction of Israel. Hamas exists for the destruction of Israel. And not just for Israel, but of Jews and Judaism anywhere.

Hamas exists to destroy Israel and kill the Jewish people. You want to see the truth? It’s simple. If Israel’s enemies lay down their weapons, there will be peace in the Middle East.

So….what’s a good way to understand Israel?

Are they perfect?

Of course not!

But I think one of the best teachings on understanding the role of Israel in God’s master plan comes from the late, great Dr. Michael S. Heiser:

WHY ISRAEL? It’s All About Cosmic Geography!

For the past few weeks, I’ve been on a strange YouTube kick of watching old Dr. Michael Heiser videos.

You know how once you watch one video on something, then YouTube recommends all of those same videos to you for the next two weeks?

And it’s not “strange” because it’s strange content, quite the contrary.

Heiser is one of the people who I could listen to for hours on end and be endlessly fascinated.

I hated school, but oddly I can learn from someone like Dr. Heiser for hours without interruption and take it in like a sponge.

So that’s not the strange part.

The strange part is I have so much going on right now (running this website, for one) and I don’t have enough time to get to everything, but I still found myself spending time listening to videos from Dr. Heiser.

But after the war has broken out in Israel, it now makes perfect sense.

Because I have a platform here that over 5 million people each month tune in to.

I don’t take that responsibility lightly.

I try to do this job with excellence and with integrity, and a big part of that means simply publishing the truth!

That means not censoring stories the way the MSM does…

It means honestly researching and honestly reporting each story, even if it doesn’t fit “my” narrative…

ALSO READ  Need help? Do not pay interest fee on balance transfer by 2027. WLT Report

And it also means being able to decipher competing stories to FIND the truth in a sea of lies.

It’s that last part that suddenly makes Dr. Heiser so relevant and now I see what I was irrationally captivated by those videos for the last two weeks — it was so I would be prepared to navigate this propaganda war we find ourselves in and report to you the Biblical truth of what is going on here so we don’t just blindly substitute SUPPORT ISRAEL in place of SUPPORT UKRAINE!

I know that last line may make many of you nervous, and so let me say clearly two things: (1) I absolutely support Israel.  That’s not up for negotiation.  But (2) I am not Israel’s keeper and neither are you and neither is America.  YHWH is.  Israel is Yahweh’s portion.  He, himself, defends Israel and he neither slumbers nor sleeps.

So I want to get that clear right out of the gate.

Now what I want to do next is introduce you to this idea of “Cosmic Geography”.

This is the Bible your pastor probably never taught you on Sunday morning, but it’s very real.

Dr. Heiser was famous for saying “I’ve never had an original thought in my life” meaning that all of his work is thoroughly sourced and credentialed by other scholars and by history.

That’s important.

I’m not interested in following someone who has created something “new” in Christianity, that’s very dangerous, but I am interested in learning from someone who says “this is what the Church taught for centuries until modern churches stopped teaching it.”

ALSO READ  In bus: Trump administration won a big win as the federal court overturned the Wicked Judge Boseberg's decision WLT report

Now you’ve got my attention.

Heiser’s basic premise is if you ask a modern Christian “why is the world so messed up” they’d give you the normal answer: because sin entered the world through Adam and Even in the Garden of Eden.

But if you asked an ancient Israelite, they’d say there are three reasons!

Yes, you have the Garden of Eden event, thats #1.

But second, you have the Genesis 6:4 event where the Fallen Angels leave the spiritual realm, come to Earth, mate with women, and create the Nephilim, and it’s these Nephilim that become the Giant Clans through most of the Old Testament.

Look it up, it’s all in there.

The third event is the splitting up of Nations, which comes right after the Tower of Babel.

The Garden of Eden is taught in church a lot.

Genesis 6:4 is almost never taught in church, but we talk about it here.

But this third event is very rarely talked about.

Because it confuses pastors so they just skip over it.

It’s Deuteronomy 32:8 which reads:

8 When the Most High divided their inheritance to the nations,

When He separated the sons of Adam,

He set the boundaries of the peoples

According to the number of the [c]children of Israel.

9 For the Lord’s portion is His people;

Jacob is the place of His inheritance.

Translation: that says God divided up the people of the world into Nations according to the “Sons of God” (i.e. the Principalities that Paul so often talks about in the New Testament).

These are real beings, and they were members of the Divine Council.

More on that in a moment.

Not co-equal gods, but certainly members of God’s council (something else almost never taught in church).

If you look at the footnote of the quoted text above, some translations translate it “children of Israel” because they are not comfortable with “Sons of God”, it creeps them out.

But look at the footnote Bible Gateway gives you on what the true language is:

Angels of God, or Sons of God.

The “DSS” refers to the Dead Sea Scrolls, which were only recently uncovered and which are widely believed by scholars to be one of the oldest and thus most reliable translations available.

That is the correct translation.

Then read verse 9:  “But Israel is the LORD’s portion”.

In other words, let me sum it all up for you:  God is angry with what people have done at Babel.  They have not disbursed and spread out on the Earth the way he instructed them, so he divides them up into Nations and he assigns each a ruler — an Angel or a Son of God.

But God keeps Israel for himself so that in the event all other Nations become corrupt (and they do), he can still fulfill his original plan that he had in the Garden of Eden through Israel.

I hope you’re tracking with me, because you’re going to see the News in an entirely new light when you understand this.

It’s Ephesians 6:12:  “12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

I know you’ve all read that verse many times, but does it make a lot more sense now?

Each Nation does indeed has a ruler over it, a “Principality”.

It’s Daniel 1013: “But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days; but lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, and I remained there with the kings of Persia.”

I’m telling you, this stuff is all over your Bible, and once you start to see it and connect the dots, things come alive!

One more quote to pull it all home for you….

Psalm 82:

Psalm 82

A Plea for Justice

A Psalm of Asaph.

God has taken his place in the divine council;

in the midst of the gods he holds judgment:

“How long will you judge unjustly

and show partiality to the wicked? Selah

Give justice to the weak and the orphan;

maintain the right of the lowly and the destitute.

Rescue the weak and the needy;

deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”

They have neither knowledge nor understanding;

    they walk around in darkness;

all the foundations of the earth are shaken.

I say, “You are gods,

    children of the Most High, all of you;

nevertheless, you shall die like mortals

    and fall like any prince.”

Rise up, O God, judge the earth,

for all the nations belong to you!

If anything I have said so far makes you nervous, understand this is ALL in your Bible.

Have you ever read Psalm 82?

It connects with everything I just told you.

YHWH takes his place in the Divine Council, in the midst of the gods he holds judgment!

Don’t be made at me, I didn’t write that….Jesus did!  It’s in your Bible!

So does that mean we have multiple gods?

No.

But we do have multiple “Sons of God” that YHWH put on his Divine Council.

And you can’t read that to just be the Trinity because in the remainder of the Psalm, these other “gods” (Elohim, simply meaning spiritual beings created by God living in the spiritual realm) they all turn evil and go bad.

Psalm 82 is recounting what happens after Deuteronomy 32.

God assigned the Nations of the world each to one of his members of his Divine Council.

He trusted them to rule fairly and justly but they all turn corrupt.

Sound familiar?

So they face judgment and God/YWHW carries out his original plan through HIS PORTION, which is Israel.

That’s my effort to introduce this concept to you and for you to get a better understanding of what is happening with Israel right now on the world stage.

But of course Dr. Michael Heiser does it better than I ever could.

So for the visual learners out there, I have some videos for you.

The first is Dr. Heiser talking about this in a Q&A format:

If you loved that and want to go deeper, or if you’d prefer more of a teaching format over Q&A, I’ll give you the absolute best.

This is Dr. Heiser’s 4 Part Supernatual Seminar.

It covers everything I just told you but in much more detail and in the way only Dr. Heiser could do it.

Please enjoy — and if any of this is resonating with your spirit, please share this article to people, friends, family members, or even pastors, that might need to see it.
