Saraikela (Jharkhand), on the 75th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 17 September (IANS), Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) MP, Joba Majhi, extended his heartfelt desires, praying for the long life of PM and continuous service of the nation.
Talking to the media in Sarikela, Majhi said, “I wish Prime Minister Modi a long and healthy life. He can continue to serve the villages and cities of India with dedication.”
When asked about the opposition parties protesting on the Prime Minister’s birthday, Majhi clarified that his gesture was purely individual. He said, “This is my personal response. I have nothing to do with the opposition’s stance or actions,” he said, maintained a measured and respectable tone.
Majhi also took the opportunity to comment on the Central Government’s ‘Swasth Nari – Sashakt Parivar’ Campaign.
Accepting the importance of women’s health, the JMM MP slammed the Center, which they called the habit of re -preparing the old plans with new names. He said, “This is nothing new. Poson fortnight for women has been held every year. The government is changing the name of old campaigns only for branding purposes,” he commented.
The MP was speaking at the 50th anniversary ceremony of the Azad Club during a two -day football tournament held at Kandra Raipur Football Ground in Sarikela, where she was invited as the chief guest.
Majhi encouraged the players and highlighted the role of the game in promoting unity and good health in the society. “Sports not only create physical strength, but also promotes a sense of solidarity. Like strong community bonds, these events,” he said.
The event saw a large vote of residents and enthusiasts of sports, which reflects the support of the community for the tournament and enthusiasm for local sports development.
Maji also emphasized the need to increase government investment in rural sports infrastructure to nurture local talent. He urged both the state and the central governments to identify and support the ground level athletes. “With proper guidance and features, our youth can shine at the national and international level,” he said, clapping with the audience.
