Traffic authorities have released a wide advice on August 2, 2025 with special emphasis on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44), Mughal Road, Sinthan Pass, and Srinagar-Sonamarg-G-Gumari Road (SSG Road), Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44), Mughal Road, Sinthan Pass, and Srinagarg-G-G-G-G-Mumari Road, and Srinagarg-Ghumari-Ghumari Road.
Jammu-Srinagar NH-44:
Under proper weather and road conditions, passenger vehicles (LMVS/Private Cars) will be allowed to travel from Jammu to Srinagar and vice versa. However, heavy motor vehicles (HMVs) will be allowed only on alternative days, and their movement will be coordinated between traffic control units (TCUS) of Jammu, Srinagar and Ramban.
Cut-off timing for lmvs,
Nagota (Jammu) to Srinagar: 6:00 am to 12:00 pm
Jakheni (Udhampur) to Srinagar: 7:00 am to 1:00 pm
Jammu to Kajigund: 11:30 pm to 2:00 pm
Vehicles will not be allowed to go out of the specified time.
HMV movement:
HMVS will be allowed for Jammu-Post-Moving of road conditions from Qazigund (Navy Tunnel Side), with no HMV permission after 7:00 pm.
Restriction restriction,
To ensure the smooth route of malfunctioning goods and necessary supply during Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, tankers carrying trucks with fuel, LPG, and empty cylinders or FCI stock (up to 10-tops) should use Mughal Road while returning to Jammu, according to the order of Divisional Commissioner Kashmir.
Sinthan Pass (NH-244-Kishtwar-AANANTNAG):
On the installment-cordial-antoning road, LMVs and High Passenger Service Vehicles (HPSVs) will be allowed in both directions on the basis of road withdrawal:
PP Parana to Anantnag: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
From PP Daksam to Tishwar: 9:00 AM to 3:00 AM
No one will be allowed as per the orders issued by the SDM of HMVS, Chhatro and Cokeranag except the designated HPSV.
SSG Road (Srinagar-Sanamarg-Gumari):
Traffic on SSG Road will be regulated on the basis of withdrawal from BRO with low schedule:
Srinagar to Minamarg: 5:00 am to 10:00 AM (HMVs after LMVS)
From Sonamarg to Kargil: 11:30 pm to 5:30 pm (HMVS after LMVS)
The convoy of security forces should schedule his journey to avoid interfering with the travel convoy.
Mughal Road:
LMVs/passenger cars will be allowed from both directions via poonch, while HMVs (up to 10 tires) will be allowed only from Shopian to Poonach, between 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, permission to the first divisional commissioner.
