J&K SED installs helpdesk for students

Srinagar, May 10: For the benefit of the prevailing situation and for the benefit of students, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir, the School Education Department (SED) Civil Secretariat Srinagar/ Jammu today issued an order for the establishment of a helpdesk for students in Srinagar and Jammu Division.

Education Minister, Saqina Itu, in a tweet on ‘X’, reported to set up a dedicated helpline by J&K government to assist the students.

“The students of J&K who need to return home are advised to contact officials of Jammu Division’s School Education and Transport Departments. Similarly, students outside UT who are currently studying in J&K can contact the SED and Transport Department officials for transport, lodging, or any related assistance.”

Further in his tweet, the minister assured that the government is committed to ensure the safety and welfare of all students.

Needy students can contact helpdesk officers/ officials for any assistance including assistance and transport.

The School Education Department (Jammu Division) will include M Mushtaq, Joint Director (94691–48784) in Helpdesk; M. Rameez Khan, Cao Samagra (95969-76648); Dr. Kishore Sharma, Nodal Officer Teachers Bhawan, Gandhi Nagar Jammu (94191-02340); BD Sharma, Depo Jammu (94191-78382); Ajay Sharma, Lecturer-Computer Science (DSEJ) (90868-84497); Nitish, MTS (Teachers Bhawan, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu) (94191-85367).

Similarly, the helpdesk installed in the Transport Department (Jammu Division) will include Habibullah Reshi, General Manager JKRTC (7780885279); Mudsir Iqbal, Arto Boi Jammu (9419172089).

Helpdesk established in the School Education Department (Kashmir Division) will include Syed Shabir Ahmed, Joint Director, Middle/South, School Education, Kashmir Division (94190-74220); Mohammad Sultan, Principal (Teacher Building, Bemina, Srinagar) (88250-38022); Bilal Ahmed, Teacher (DSEK) (94195–17218).

Apart from this, Transport Department (Jammu Division) Shokat Ahmed, General Manager JKRTC (9419075671) and Dr. Sayer, Accounts Officer RTO will assist students in Helpdesk established in Kashmir (9622894007).
