In Srinagar, J&K’s Budgam district, October 8 (IANS) police attacked the property of a terrorist handler from Pakistan as the State Investigation Agency (SIA) discovered at eight places against the terrorist sleeper cell module in the valley.
A police statement stated that the Budgam police attacked the assets measuring 03 kanals and 19 Marlus, after receiving prior approval from the competent authority, while continuing their constant action against the terrorist network, their colleagues and handlers.
The police claimed, “This property is by Phase Ahmed alias Gadda, who had been ousted to Pakistan and found using the said property to promote terrorist activities in Kashmir,” the police claimed.
It said that during the investigation, it was revealed that the said person was trying to separate and sell the land with the intention of using sales income for further support and finance terrorist activities.
“Accordingly, the approval under Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) was obtained in the case of FIR number 56/2019 of Police Station Chadura, leading to the formal attachment of the said property,” said this.
It was also reported that the said handler is currently located in Pakistan and continues to be involved in anti-national activities from across the border.
Meanwhile, another statement by Sia said that the agency made extensive discovery at eight places in seven districts in the Kashmir Valley.
“These discoveries were conducted as part of an ongoing investigation of FIR No. 01/2025 in the case of Police Station CI/Sia Kashmir. The case is related to the sleeper cell module operated in the valley, which is at the behest of terrorist commanders of terrorist organizations of Lashar-e-Taba and Jai-e-Mohammed.”
The SIA stated that the module is used to spread separatist propaganda, making “radical” and “recruitment” youth “recruit” in terrorist folds.
“North, Central and South Kashmir had a simultaneous search operation in 7 districts. During the raid, adequately growing material has been confiscated, and the suspects have been scored for further inquiries,” it said.
The SIA also stated that the preliminary inquiry has clearly brought the active engagement of these institutions to a terrorist conspiracy, aimed at challenging India’s sovereignty and regional integrity, but aimed at challenging India’s sovereignty and regional integrity, which is aimed at raising disagreement, public chaos and communal hatred.
A terrorist sleeper cell module is formed from terrorist colleagues and operators who are clearly leading a normal life and weapons are provided by terrorists to perform only a special terrorist work.
After completing the task, the member of the Terror Sleeper Cell returns the weapon and again dissolves with the common citizens, making his identity very difficult.
