J&K on the path of tourism revival

Srinagar, 08 July: Jammu and Kashmir Secretary Tourism Tourism, Yasha Mudgal said on Tuesday that the central region is on a strong route of revival in tourism and is once again becoming a top choice for travelers across the country.

Speaking on the occasion of the conference of the tourism secretaries being held in Srinagar, Mudgal said that all the state and center regions have come together for a major idea -mind session with the aim of increasing the tourism sector of India.

“Tourism Secretary Conference is being held with participation from all states and UTS,” he said. “It sends a strong message that J&K is a favorite destination, not only for holidays, but for all forms of tourism,” he said.

He said that the incident supported by the Ministry of Tourism (MOT) also saw the participation of Union Tourism Minister and Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir. “This is the biggest phenomenon of the year for us, and it sets tone for ahead,” said Mudgal.

Addressing concerns about a temporary dip in tourist arrival after an incident recently, Mudgal said that the situation is becoming normal. “It is natural to see a slight recession after an incident, but thanks to the efforts of Honorable LG and top government officials, tourists are coming back,” he said.

He said that the tourist flow has re -raised in major destinations like Srinagar, Gulmarg and Pahalgam. “Tourists are coming from all corners of the country. We are on the path of revival and will match the number of last year very soon,” he said.
