Jammu, 30 September (IANS) Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha performed ‘Pooja’ on Tuesday and prayed for peace and prosperity in the country and the center area in Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine in Rasi district.

This year, on the nine of the auspicious festival of Navratri, devotees of Maa Durga worship Maha Chaugauri.
Navri, being celebrated from 22 September to 1 October, is dedicated to the worship of Goddess Durga and has a special significance in Mata Vaishno Devi Tirtha.
Officials said the yatra is running smoothly with more than 1.35 lakh devotees, who are making obedient payments in the cave temple.
Between “Jai Mata Di”, Bhakti, and Bhajan, Mata Vaishno Devi and the entire Katra base camp of Marg, devotees reach the city and abroad in the city and abroad to seek blessings.
The base camp, road and building Mata dazzle the temple of Vaishno Devi with lights and decorations. The spiritual purity and traditional echoes echoing during Navratri are soothing.
Officials said the police, CRPF, paramilitary forces and a multi-level security grid involving quick-response teams are in full celebration.
The pilgrimage of the revered pilgrimage started again on September 17 after being suspended for 22 days due to a devastating landslide with the track due to torrential rains on 26 August, resulting in 34 people and 20 others suffered injuries.
