Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today laid the foundation stone of the Dhunseri Polyfilm Limited Industrial Unit in the duhlian Jattan village of Katua.
In his address, the Lieutenant Governor enhanced his loyalty for the Chairman, Dhunseri Group of Industries, Mr. Chandra Kumar Dhanuka, all members of the Dhunseri Group, Jammu and Kashmir Industries Department and District Administration officials and wished the state-boop production unit in Kathua in Kathua.
He said that the project would create thousands of jobs for local youth, promote local economic upliftment and create massive commercial opportunities in the surrounding rural areas.
The Lieutenant Governor highlighted that in the last few years, Jammu and Kashmir has focused on industrial development that benefits all sections of the society.
Lieutenant Governor said, “Large -scale infrastructure development is stimulating the rapid economic growth of Jammu and Kashmir, which will soon become a major market, a manufacturing center and a competitive provider of services,” said the Lieutenant Governor.
The Lieutenant Governor noticed that the youth and skilled work forces of Jammu and Kashmir are our strength and they will carry forward the development of the future of our economy.
He said, “We are seeing an era of growing aspirations. Our youth are dedicated to creating a lively and hardworking society and have taken their fate in their hands and shaping a bright future for UT,” he further said.
The Lieutenant Governor reiterated his commitment to decentralize the industrial infrastructure and create opportunities in the underdeveloped areas of J&K UT.
“Unless industries are established, development will remain a dream. Due to the progressive industrial policy, areas like Jammu, Kathua, Samba are receiving new milestones in the industrial area.
From policy initiative to implementation on land, incredible achievements have been made for the industrial development of Jammu and Kashmir. We have laid special emphasis on industries that will empower the local economy.
Transparent regime has improved the management of resources. The rule of the law has ensured that all stakeholder institutions, including government officials, are accountable, ”said the Lieutenant Governor.
The Lieutenant Governor urged the people to be aware of the nefarious designs of opponents who are trying to disrupt Jammu and Kashmir’s rich economy, industries and tourism sectors and divide the society on religious lines.
The Lieutenant Governor also appreciated the significant contribution of the Dhunseri Group in India’s manufacturing sector.
The project to be commissioned in 2026, spread over an area of about 300 kanals in Dholia Jattan village, will be manufactured in two phases with a combined installed capacity of 1,28,400 TPA in two stages, and 1000 will generate employment opportunities.
