Effective from January 1, 2025, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday announced the dearness allowance (DA) for its employees for 53% to 55% basic salary for its employees.
According to an order issued by the government, “To continue the Government Order No. 28-F of 2025 dated 27.01.2025, it has been ordered that the government employees working in regular pay levels under the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission will be paid dearness allowance from 53% to 55% effectively from January 1, 2025 to 53% to 55%.
The word ‘Basic Pay’ in the revised salary structure means that according to the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission, the pay matrix is drawn in the prescribed level, but it does not include any other type of salary like special salary etc.
Due to the additional installment of dearness allowance from January 2025 to May 2025, the outstanding amount will be paid in cash in June 2025 and will be part of the monthly salary since June 2025 since June 2025.
Due to dearness allowance incorporating 50 money and above excerpts, the payment will be removed from the next high rupee and can be ignored by less than 50 paise, ”the order reads.
