The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has formed a high-level committee under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Kashmir for a short-term review of Srinagar Master Plan 2035.

According to the government order, a copy, one copy of which is with the news agency JKNS, has been approved for the Constitution of a committee, including the Divisional Commissioner, the Speaker of Kashmir, the Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, as a member, and the Deputy Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar.

The order further reads that the Vice President, Srinagar Development Authority will serve as Member Secretary. Other members include Vice Chairman, J&K Lake Conservation and Management Authority, Chief Town Planner, Town Planning Organization Kashmir and Law Department, Representatives of Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, who are not below the post of Additional Secretary.

The terms of the context are placed in the state, “to check the viability of TPS areas, and if necessary, to identify any TPS area (S), to remove the pre -condition regarding the issuance of the building in such an area.”

It further reads, “Time -time to investigate the instructions/orders issued by the Hon’ble High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, and on the basis of court orders, in the case of buffer areas of pulses and nigen lakes, and proposed amendment to Master Plan Sarinagar 2035 accordingly
