Jimmy Kimmel became emotional as he spoke about his death on Monday night. 37-year-old ICU nurse Alex Pretti.
Preeti shot dead by ICE agents Saturday in Minneapolis, Minnesota, just three weeks later Renee Good, a mother of three, was shot to death in the same city.
Kimmel began his monologue Jimmy Kimmel Live! Monday: “I spent the weekend like many of you, looking at my phone, shocked and disgusted by what happened in Minneapolis.
“…this group of well-trained, shamefully led, masked thugs committed one atrocity after another. That’s what they were: thugs who committed despicable, callous, even criminal acts. It was sickening and frustrating to watch. It was like we were all forced to play a game with no rules. They were just making up the rules as they went along.
“We see these videos – in which we clearly see one of our fellow Americans being executed by ICE – and they don’t even admit it was a mistake! They say the Honda SUV Renee Good was driving by Alex Pretti was ‘weaponized’ and they say Alex Pretti had a permit to carry a gun in an open carry state – yes, a lot of people screamed loudly when Kyle Rittenhouse was carrying this gun – Alex Pretti The gun wasn’t even drawn, wasn’t touched, and this gun was shot at an ICU nurse 10 times before he was shot by one of the agents – before he was shot by other agents, and they told us, ‘Well, that’s justified, you know?'”

federal government—and president donald trump – alleges that Preeti approached agents with the intention of carrying out an attack with a pistol, which they claimed was recovered from the scene of the incident.
They offered no evidence that he ever drew a weapon and declined to answer questions about a detailed timeline of how the confrontation unfolded.
In Minnesota, it is legal to carry a licensed handgun.
“If you vote for this, is this the law and order you’re voting for?” Kimmel continued.
“Every day right now is a nightmare. My wife and I have family in Minneapolis. They’re afraid to take their kids to school. They’re afraid to go to work. I can only imagine how non-white people feel about this!
“How is this going to end? What’s the plan here? Is there a plan to continue this in every city that didn’t vote for Donald Trump? Does anyone on either side think this is good leadership?”

Kimmel concluded his monologue by paying tribute to Pretty, “Stephen Miller called him a potential assassin.”
The host, visibly fighting back tears, said: “Alex Preti was an ICU nurse and treated veterans, which is almost patriotic.” Then played a video of Preti paying tribute to one of his veteran patients who had died. He ended his speech by saying, “May he rest in peace, Alex Pretty.”
exist late night showStephen Colbert also criticized the Department of Homeland Security’s characterization of the incident.
“Masked government agents disarmed an American citizen and then executed him in the streets. That’s what happened,” he said Monday. “They want you to believe that when we see something happen, it doesn’t happen. That’s like claiming Alan Cumming wasn’t a bystander.” traitorwhen there is enough evidence that he feeds us. “
He continued: “This administration has no idea the mistake they just made. They’re pissing off the nurses right now. They’re underpaid, overworked, and they’re the ones who have to deal with Dr. Robbie’s inner demons. Do you stupid old men really want to offend the person who’s responsible for putting your catheters in? Trust me, they can do it with or without lubrication. You just made your choice.”
