Bill Stevenson’s wife, ex-husband’s ex-husband First Lady Jill Biden, He was found dead in his Wilmington home Sunday night, police said.
New Castle County police said in a news release that officers were called to a home in the Oak Hill area of the city at 11:16 p.m. on a report of a “domestic dispute.”
Police found Linda Stevenson unresponsive in the living room, the statement said. Despite life-saving measures, the 64-year-old was pronounced dead. An autopsy is planned to determine the cause of death.
Jill Biden married Stevenson in 1970, when she was a college student. The pair divorced in 1975, 12 months after separation and two years before she married her ex President Joe Biden 1977.
TMZ Stevenson reportedly called authorities. He is believed to be cooperating with authorities and has not been charged with a crime.
Little is known about Jill Biden’s marriage to Stevenson.
Her biographer Julie Pace told us that in 2022 people Biden “had some expectations for this marriage, and this marriage didn’t live up to those expectations.”
“She was very young and probably a little naïve about what life would be like, and that stung her. It really stung her, and it left her with a lot of questions.”
