Jharkhand Governor, CM paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri on birth anniversary

Ranchi, October 2 (IANS) On the occasion of Gandhi Jayati and the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, Governor of Jharkhand Santosh Kumar Gangwar and Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Thursday paid floral tribute to two national icons in Bapu Vatika in Morbadi.

Governor Gangwar hit the statue of Mahatma Gandhi and recalled his timeless teachings of truth, non -violence and cleanliness.

He said, “Bapu was a person dedicated to the welfare of humanity. His sacrifice for social service and commitment continues to motivate people in generations,” he said.

The governor paid tribute to Lal Bahadur Shastri, in which he was described as an avatar of simplicity, honesty and dedication for national service.

Governor Gangwar said, “Shastriji’s slogan ‘Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan’ is still resonating. The life of his sacrifice and his integrity will always guide the citizens to perform the path of duty and service,” Governor Gangwar said.

Chief Minister Hement Soren, who attended the governor, said that Gandhi’s philosophy of truth and non -violence was not only the greatest strength of India’s freedom struggle, but also remains relevant for the creation of a harmonious society.

“Mahatma Gandhi’s ideal nation and the world continue to guide. I appeal to every citizen of Jharkhand to embrace his principles in daily life and to strengthen peace, brotherhood and unity in society,” Soren said.

Recalling Lal Bahadur Shastri, the Chief Minister said that his life symbolizes patriotism, simplicity and unwavering dedication for public service.

He said, “We should motivate our values ​​of duties and sacrifice to work towards strengthening both Jharkhand and the country.”
