Two joyful new faces will be displayed at the Toronto Zoo starting on Friday.
The nine -month -old brother is Scottish Highland cattle, with long, woolen, red coat and fringes above their eyes.
Mark Brandson, the manager of the zoo of wildlife care, says that both were born and raised about a month ago at a local Ontario farm before going to the zoo.
He says that he has completed a quarantine period and now lives outside the Eurasia Wilds region of the zoo.
Membership holders may visit brothers on a pre-screening on Thursday, while other visitors may start them from Friday.
Brandson says there is “very excitement” around the pair as the highland breed is already so popular.
He says that the zoo is expecting brothers to pass through the public sector of the zoo as part of its animal ambassador program, which may closely look at some animals to visitors.
“Each day, our outreach and discovery staff are working to bring them to that level,” he said.
“Being a bonded pair is really a great social status for highland cows. These brothers are very calm and they are gaining confidence every day every day they interact with those who take care of their care.”
The brothers do not yet have names, and Brandson says that the public should remain on ways to contribute to naming ideas.
